  65.     The <span class="guimenuitem">Add to Selection</span> command
  66.     creates a selection in the current layer from the Alpha Channel. Opaque
  67.     pixels are fully selected, transparent pixels are unselected, and
  68.     translucent pixels are partially selected. This selection is
  69.     <span class="emphasis"><em>added</em></span> to the existing selection. The alpha channel
  70.     itself is not changed.

  73.     The other commands in this group of operations are similar, except that
  74.     instead of adding to the existing selection with the selection produced
  75.     from the active layer, they either completely replace the selection
  76.     with a selection produced from the alpha selection, subtract the alpha

  78.     the intersection of the two.
