  7. I personally have a Canon EOS 10D and have found the output from
  8. dcraw comparable to software supplied by Canon (which is for
  9. windows only of course).
  10. Typically, I have found, dcraw produces improved contrast images
  11. making better use of the available dynamic range.

  13. There is also a plugin for the gimp to read raw images directly.

  15. I have added "getsource" a script I use to build dcraw. This includes
  16. the shell code to build the .orig.tar.gz file (this is not distributed
  17. by the author)
