  4.    The backup program for  Swift POS  can be
  5.    launched  by selecting BACKUP from the FILE
  6.    menu at the  top of the screen.

  8.    It can not be stressed enough the need for a good
  9.    backup policy.  Backup should be run EVERY day
  10.    onto a removable media that can be taken off
  11.    site.The reason for this is that in the event 
  12.    of a fire or other catastrophy, your business
  13.    information would be safe somewhere else.

  15.    Swift POS provides a backup utility that is simple
  16.    to use. In order for the entire Swift POS folder
  17.    to be backed up, the program first asks for a 
  18.    destination which could be a CD, disk, or tape,
  19.    and then closes the Swift POS program giving it 
  20.    access to all the files. A different media such
  21.    as a CD, disk, or tape should be used each day of
  22.    the week and can be rotated on a weekly basis.

  24.    For companies using Swift POS in a multi-user
  25.    environment, the BACKUP program must be run
  26.    on  the system hosting the database files.

  28.    The program produces 2 files, one with a (.zip)
  29.    extention and one with a (.ini) extention. To use 
  30.    the built-in [Restore] program, both files are
  31.    needed.
