  1. Day after 28 Feb 2001 BIOS Test

  3. This test checks to see what date your Basic Input Output System (BIOS) assumes to be the date after 28th February 2001.

  5. The year 2001 is not a leap year, and thus your BIOS should show the date as 1st March 2001.

  7. As the year 2000 will be a leap year, it has been alleged by many PC experts that some BIOSs may fail this test due to a mistake in the BIOS which assumes that all years after 2000 are leap years.

  9. However, in our extensive testing we have yet to see a BIOS exhibit this behaviour.

  11. If your PC fails this test, please contact Greenwich Mean Time, as we would be very interested to know of such a case.

  13. To be thorough, we have included this BIOS test, and if you PC does indeed fail this test, we suggest that you contact you PC supplier or manufacturer.
