This test checks to see that your Basic Input Output System (BIOS) will allow the BIOS date to be set to 1/1/2000.
Please note that this is not the same test as whether your PC Operating System (such as Microsoft Windows 95) allows for this date.
On a small percentage of PCs we have seen that this date is not possible to be set into BIOS, which could mean (if this is the only test which fails) that your PC will correctly rollover into the year 2000, but when you switch the PC off after December 31st 1999, it may not allow the BIOS (during the Power On System Tests - POST) to set the date to 1/1/2000.
If your PC fails this test, we suggest you contact the supplier or manufacturer of your PC and report the problem.
Depending on which Operating System you use failing this test may mean that your PC will not be able to use the correct date after December 31st 1999, or it may mean that you have no problems with this BIOS failure.
Without a more detailed examination of the way you actually use your PC, we can not be sure whether failing this test will cause you problems or not.
