A shortcut to change the font for bibliographical output to your word processor is to doubleclick the display of the current setting in the bottom line of the window.
The description of the currently used database is displayed in the bottom line of the window
To highlight references that have an abstract available, click the "A" icon in the iconbar.
To highlight references that have the "copy" option tagged, click the "C" icon in the iconbar
To highlight references to which a library code is available, click the "L" icon in the icobar.
When you create a new references or edit a reference, the date is stored and displayed.
When you doubleclick a reference in a list you can either pop up the detail box to preview a formatted reference or edit its details. To toggle between these two alternatives, click at one of the bottoms in the lower left corner of the main window.
When you enter new references from scratch, Bibliographica suggests items that are already present in your database. To accept them, hit the "insert" key.
When you publish in different languages, you can use the language phrases to employ the same bibliography style to work in all languages, using the appropriate language specific terms. To set these phrases, use Terms - Language
You can insert all references in a list as a "bulk citation" using Citations-Insert Whole List.
You can quickly access databases you have opened previously in your current session by the dropdownbox in the lower right corner of the main window

When you want to search your database by journal, using the command Search-Journal+Year is much faster than the standard search (Search-(Full)Text) directed towards the year field.
Searching the database by author is very much faster, if you restrict the search to the first author.
When you apply a fontstyle (i.e. bold, italic, underline) to a new bibliography style in the style editor, the correct formatting will only appear after you have turned this fontstyle OFF again, not while it is active.
When you use the numeric in-text-citation format (like [1]) numbered by order of apperance in Microsoft Word, make sure you either only cite in the footnotes or in the main text body to get correct results.
Using the [1] numerical format for in-text-citations you can decide if you want the numbering to be in order of apperance or in alphabetical order
You can format the first in-text-citation of a reference differently from all other citations of the same reference as fully formatted item by selecting the respective item in the PAPER-CREATE BIBLIOGRAPHY dialog
