- Note, all the "libX" library files are kept in
- /usr/X11R6/lib/.
- However, some links place here (/usr/lib) as some apps
- can't find the xlibs.
-
- The folders BWidget-1.7.0, combobox-2.3, Img1.2, tix8.1, FTP
- tk8.4, tkhtml, are all library extensions to tcl.
-
- Note that FTP is also part of the BLT package, so if I install
- BLT, then FTP on its own will be no longer required.
-
- The folders cdtar, ml, regexpviewer, slidedraw, SpecTcl, tlxmlive,
- vtcl-1.6.0 are all tcl/tk applications.
-
- Note, some tcl/tk apps are also to be found in /usr/local/lib
- and some in /usr/local/bin. Mostly in /usr/local/bin you will find
- small shell scripts to cd into here to start the main script.
-
- Have replaced BWidget-1.7.0 with BWidget-1.3.1, which is a link from here
- to /usr/lib/vtcl-1.6.0/lib/bwidget, as Visual-Tcl can only work with that
- version, and also it is a modified version ( see vtcl readme).
-
- 16June04: Puppy 0.9.0:
-
- Have removed vtcl as it is too big, at least for now.
- The problem was that vtcl needed to use its own lib/bwidget/.
- So, in anticipation that vtcl will come back, I have pulled its bwidget/ out
- and placed it in /usr/lib/. I have also created a link BWidget-1.3.1 to it,
- to help other apps find it. Vtcl's bwidget is based on Bwidget-1.3.1 but modified.
-
- So, if bring back vtcl, must remove its own internal bwidget/ and replace with
- a link to /usr/lib/bwidget/.
-
- Alicq needs Bwidget 1.3, tcllib and snack. However the last two are optional.
- Snack provides sound support, tcllib provides http proxy support.
- Don't have these last two in Puppy yet.
-
- yes, now have installed snack. It isn't in rootfs-skeleton/, gets added to
- rootfs-complete/usr/lib/snack2.2/ by createpuppy8 script.
-
- 21July04: Puppy 0.9.2
-
- Sockspy uses uri package.
-
- 22Dec04:
-
- As far as I know, only Xhippo uses libid3tag.so, but it is fairly small, and
- may be useful in the future. Also, luckydip.tgz (external package for Puppy)
- has Xhippo in it (Xhippo was in Puppy up to v0.9.5, then removed).
