  10. WiZ 5.02 is a compression and file packaging utility.  It is compatible
  11. with PKZIP 2.04g (Phil Katz ZIP) for MSDOS systems.  There are command-
  12. line companions to WiZ called zip and unzip (of course) which you should
  13. be able to find the same place you got WiZ.  See the file 'WHERE' for
  14. details on ftp sites and mail servers.

  16. This version of WiZ is basically a complete rewrite of the GUI portion
  17. of the code.  It is also the first version that does not run on 16-bit
  18. Windows systems (although it does still make a self-extracting file that
  19. will run on MSDOS).  New features include a "zip-diff" capability between
  20. two archives, multiple archive interface, a completely new editor, the
  21. ability to scan archives, to "grep" archives and many other nifty, new
  22. features.

  24. This version still does not support multi-volume archives as in PKZIP
  25. 2.04g.  This may be provided in a future version if time permits.

  27. All bug reports or patches should go to Zip-Bugs@lists.wku.edu, and
  28. suggestions for new features can be sent to info-zip@lists.wku.edu
  29. (although we don't promise to use all suggestions).  Patches should be
  30. sent as context or unified diffs only (diff -c or diff -u).

  32. If you're considering a port, please check with Zip-Bugs FIRST, since
  33. the code is constantly being updated behind the scenes.  We'll arrange
  34. to give you access to the latest source.

  37. join the ranks of beta testers, add your own thoughts and contributions,
  38. etc., send a two-line mail message containing the commands HELP and LIST
  39. (on separate lines in the body of the message, not on the subject line) to
  40. mxserver@lists.wku.edu.  You'll receive two messages listing the various
  41. Info-ZIP mailing-list formats which are available (and also various un-
  42. related lists) and instructions on how to subscribe to one or more of them
