  5.                         Converts LZH files to ZIP files.

  8.     Requirements:
  9.     The programs required by this program are:
  10.     LHA.EXE
  11.     PKZIP.EXE
  12.  
  13.     What to do first:
  14.     Make sure that PKZIP.EXE & LHA.EXE are in a search path.  If you don't
  15.     have PKZIP in it's own search path now, you are living in the dark ages!
  16.     Place this program, LZH2ZIP.COM, in your archiving directory along with
  17.     PKZIP.EXE & LHA.EXE
  18.  
  19.     Operation:
  20.     You should only convert LZH files to ZIP files that exist in the current
  21.     directory.  Working from a different directory will work sometimes, but
  22.     DOS get's confused and unexpected results may occur.

  24.     An example using TEST as a filename.
  25.     To convert a file named  TEST.LZH to TEST.ZIP, enter:

  27.     LZH2ZIP TEST        (no extension)
  28.  
  29.     A temporary directory will be created ($$$$) and TEST.LZH is extracted
  30.     to this directory.   Next, PKZIP will get these files and move them to
  31.     it's new home, TEST.ZIP
  32.     The origional TEST.LZH will be deleted after confirmiing that TEST.ZIP
  33.     was successfully created.

  36.     Suggestion:
  37.     I have all archiving type files in one directory named 'ZIP'.  In this
  38.     directory I have programs such as PKZIP, PKUNZIP, PKZMENU, RECOM, NARC,
  39.     ZARC, ZIP2EXE, REZIP, ARC, UNARC, ARJ, LHA, SHAVE, CLEANUP, ARC2ZIP,
  40.     ARJ2ZIP, LZH2ZIP & etc.
  41.     This way I don't have to look all over for an archiving type program
  42.     when I need it.
  43.     These programs may be called from a batch file, but you should NOT make
  44.     the batch file change directorys when calling any of these files!.
  45.     They will work ok from your existing path so long as they are within the
  46.     search path.
  47.     You should place all your archiving type programs in one directory.
  48.     You may call this directory anything you like, so long as you specify it
  49.     in the search path within your Autoexec.bat file.
