  1. In order to effectly perform the update of version 1.5
  2. correctly, you should delete file usrchk1.def before
  3. you run version 1.5. Then go thru and re-enter your info.
  4. You might printout the usrchk1.def before you start
  5. for reference.

  7. If you get a input past end error, you haven't redone
  8. the usrchk1.def file.

  10. Nothing really special that has to be done to install
  11. usrchk16.

  13. Nothing special has to be done to update from V1.6 to
  14. V1.7.

  16. In order to effectly perform the update from Ver 1.7 to
  17. Ver 1.8 correctly, you should delete file usrchk?.def before
  18. you run version 1.8. Then go thru and re-enter your info.

  28. In order to install 2.1, you need to pretty much start
  29. over in the setup.  Delete usrchk1.def and ldcode.dat.
  30. Thus when userchek is invoked it will ask you all the
  31. startup questions over again.  Another additional part
  32. of userchek is the exclusive dialing section.  If enabled,
  33. the sysop can specify only certain prefixes to be dialed.
  34. All others are not dialed.

  36. Nothing special has to be done to upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2.
  37. Just copy userchek.exe into place.

  39. Check entries in the verified.dat ASCII file to be sure they
  40. are in the XXX-XXX-XXXX or XXX-XXXX format.  Other than this
  41. should be able to copy v2.3 into place.

  43. copy userchek.exe Version 3.0 into place.  Registered version
  44. writes to verified.dat.  Unregistered version does NOT.

  47. under desqview.
