-
- 2.04 ■ Now searches PATH for CONFIG.DAT
- ■ Now searches PATH for TOLKIEN.REG file
-
- 2.03 ■ Now shows days since last logon on the first (user-scrollable)
- screen, so you can tell if it's been a while without going into
- Edit Mode. This was a requested addition.
- ■ Made the help screens look a bit better.
- ■ Added a separate utility (UDB.EXE) that converts the USER.LST file
- to a comma-delimited ASCII file for importing into relational
- databases. This was a requested addition.
- ■ Now uses the standard "TOLKIEN.REG" registration number file, which
- will eventually be used for all of my WWIV products. If you have
- registered and do not have your number then please email me with the
- following info: BBS name >exactly< as spelled in INIT, and a WWIVnet
- netmail address where you can be reached.
-
- 2.02 ■ Updated for WWIV 4.22's new "super userrec". This is now the only
- userrec structure supported (though you can use the reserved bytes
- within that userrec for whatever you wish, of course, and this will
- not affect UEDIT's function).
- ■ May now search by state and/or country.
- ■ May now edit all new fields (deletedposts, banktime, etc).
- ■ Was stripping trailing carriage returns from user macros previously.
- This has now been fixed.
-
- 2.01 ■ You can now reset callers' Qscan pointers, as either read or unread,
- based on the defined search specification.
- ■ The information printed with AltP enhanced and expanded.
- ■ Color redefinition now works on users who match the search spec,
- rather than everyone. More flexible this way.
- ■ Search spec allows defining status of callers now (Normal, Deleted,
- Inactive, or Everyone) - which affects the AltC, AltP, AltM,
- search commands, etc - anything that uses the search engine.
- ■ Some new commandline options added. (See commandline options above.)
- ■ User purging possible from the commandline now. (See commandline
- options above.) Nice for an external event.
- ■ Tidied up some code; real name, handle, callsign, and password may
- now all have leading spaces (but not trailing spaces, which are
- stripped automatically).
- ■ You may now specify one AR that will *exclude* users from a search
- match. This is primarily for purging old user accounts, but could
- be used for other purposes as well of course. The default exclude
- character is a space, meaning that the exclusion is inoperative.
- ■ You may now specify the range of security levels that *will* be
- affected by a commandline AccountZap (user purge).
- ■ Documentation updated and somewhat revised for additional clarity.
- ■ Various minor bug fixes, mainly interface-related.
- ■ ALTB and ALTW added as commands to prevent needlessly redefining a
- commonly used search specification.
- ■ When adding users (with AltA), each added user now gets the NewUser
- SL, NewUser DSL, NewUser Gold, NewUser Restriction(s), etc, as they
- are defined in INIT.
- ■ When in EDIT MODE and on the exempt field, the possible values for
- this are explained for you on the status line at the bottom of the
- screen.
- ■ If you are using the FROM modification, you can now use AltP to
- just print the mailing address information for the users who match
- the currectly defined search specification.
- ■ You are now prompted for user deletion to make sure that's what
- you intended to do.
-
- 2.00 ■ A complete rewrite, without even looking at previous code.
- ■ User-purging enabled, for deleting aged user accounts.
- ■ Mouse support added (optional, but nice).
- ■ Now supports several userrec structures in a single EXE file.
- ■ Now completely supports 43/50-line mode.
- ■ *Much* enhanced search function.
- ■ Vastly improved user interface.
- ■ Now has a BROWSE mode as well as an EDIT mode, so you can chose
- which makes you more comfortable.
- ■ Much better help system.
- ■ Many other additional changes, far too numerous to list here.
-
- 1.23 ■ Better error-checking on edit fields (no negative SL's, for
- instance).
- ■ Fixed a directory-related bug when doing multiple shells to DOS with
- the DATA dir in INIT not spelled out completely.
- ■ Fixed a bug that crashed UEDIT when running DesqView in forced
- 43/50-line mode and doing some screen functions.
-
- 1.22 ■ Improved management of errors when shelling to UEDIT2.EXE (for user
- deletion, resetf, etc).
- ■ Better cursor movement from edit field to edit field.
- ■ More WWIV-like movement around the USER.LST file ([ and ], and
- { and }).
- ■ Now able to abort an edit and restore what was once there, by simply
- entering nothing once the edit has begun.
-
- 1.21 ■ Fixed it so that when two user accounts are swapped, then their mail
- and voting records are both deleted (so they aren't crossed).
- ■ RESETF.EXE and DELUSER.EXE merged into one program, UEDIT2.EXE, for
- simplicity.
-
- 1.20 ■ Fixed a search-by-handle bug.
- ■ Now allows copying current user to a virtual "ClipBoard" and pasting
- from the ClipBoard into the current user record.
- ■ You can also use Alt-S to swap two user accounts, and all
- information is carried.
- ■ Added the ability to search by AR's and DAR's as well as all other
- search options.
- ■ UEDIT is usually intelligent enough now to determine if you need to
- do a //RESETF and if it determines that you do then this is
- automatic when you exit.
-
- 1.11 ■ Some cosmetic changes and internal streamlining.
- ■ Can now delete with a simple "D" and restore with a simple "R".
- ■ Can now (again) load a specific user with a commandline parameter
- (user number), rather than the default user #1 being loaded.
- ■ Now only requires 260K free memory, half that if you don't need the
- DOS shell ability.
-
- 1.10 ■ Colors changed/enhanced.
- ■ DOS Shell added.
- ■ Deleting users now deletes their associated mail and voting
- records (so it's safe).
- ■ Can now perform the equivalent of a //resetf.
- ■ Some slight speed enhancement.
- ■ Can now search by number of days since a user was last on.
-
- 1.06 ■ Extended User Notes added, with some limited word processing ability
- when editing them, including insert, delete, line insert and delete,
- clear, etc.
-
- 1.05 ■ Two pages of information.
- ■ Several additional fields for editing, including the user colors.
- ■ Global color redefinition.
- ■ Two print options
- ■ Much better display.
-
- 1.04 ■ Beta test model of the new format. No second screen of information.
- Only released to one person.
-
- 1.03 ■ Search now encompasses multiple fields, so you can search on all
- females, age 21 to 28, with '644' in their phone number and
- 'kingshighway' in their street (for instance).
- ■ "P"rint Info option slightly enhanced for clarity.
-
- 1.02 ■ Start in Edit Mode.
- ■ Field remembered as you scroll through the userlist.
- ■ Much easier to edit.
- ■ Will also capitalize the first letter of each word in realname,
- street, and citystate fields automatically.
-
- 1.01 ■ Second page removed and more information placed on the page.
- ■ Status line added to bottom.
- ■ Interface enhanced for ease of use.
-
- 1.00 ■ Editor working now. Many bug fixes. '
- ■ P'rint option enhanced to provide more information.
- ■ Second page of user information added.
-
- 1.00ß ■ Initial Release. Many bugs. Editor not functional at all. Merely
- for testing purposes and development assessment.
