- [cls][Yellow]Define Key Words for Mail Searching.[cyan]
-
- With this option, you can select key words, phrases, or people you wish
- to read mail or join in conversations. You will always get mail address
- to you personally. But with keywords, you can include mail such as mail
- to "ALL", and "DR. DEBUG", subject areas such as "HELP", "OS/2", or
- anything else. Upto 20 Keywords can be defined.
-
- By prefixing the keyword with a negative sign (dash), keywords will work
- the opposite. Negative keywords will skip messages containing the
- keywords. This is a message filtering process.

- [cls][Yellow]Receive your own mail.[cyan]
-
- This option allows you to include your most recent mail in your mail
- package. This is the mail from yourself to others. If you set this
- option to NO, you will not receive mail you have written to others.

- [cls][Yellow]Receive Group Mail.[Cyan]
-
- Xpress supports a feature Group Mail. A sysop can send general mail to
- !ALL! users. This type of mail will be picked by Xpress and ADDRESSED
- directly to you. If the sysop has given you permission to use it, you
- too can use this feature.
-
- If you have this option enabled, all group mail messages will have it
- directed to your name. If it is off, group mail may or may not get picked
- up. It depends if it is a public or private group message.

- [cls][Yellow]Use Packet Counter[Cyan]
-
- If this option is YES, Xpress will keep a count of the packets you
- downloaded. The count will be used as an extension to the packet name.
- For example, XPRESS.O04 or XPRESS.Q55. Xpress will go as high as 99 and
- wrap back to 1.
-
- To reset the packet counter back to 1, turn off the option and then
- turn it back on.

- [cls][Yellow]Send Selected Areas Only[cyan]
-
- If this option is YES, Xpress will only send the mail areas you have
- selected for scanning to the Xpress Mail Reader. This allows the reader
- to focus on your areas of interest when entering new mail.
-
- Keep in mind if you have this option ON, you will not be allowed to post
- mail in other areas that were not selected.

- [cls][yellow]Use Flex Assistant[cyan]
-
- Silver Xpress has an interactive system for its mail bundling process
- called Flex Select. With Flex Select, you can control precisely how
- much mail you wish to download.
-
- With the Flex Assistant set to YES, Xpress will scan for mail in each
- area and, if any mail is found for the particular areas, the Flex
- Assistant will ask for the Flex Options. It is a quick and smart way to
- learn the Flex Select system in Silver Xpress.

- [cls][yellow]Show Mail Areas With Mail Only[cyan]
-
- When this option is set to YES, Xpress will only show the mail areas
- which have mail. Mail areas with no mail are not displayed in the mail
- scan report table.
-
- This is particularily useful if you have many selected areas to be
- scanned and often, no mail is available in most areas. With this option
- OFF, your scan table could scroll off the screen, sometimes making it
- difficult to use the FLEX SELECT system.

- [cls][Yellow]Change Mail Pointers by Date or Number[cyan]
-
- Some versions of Xpress allow you to change last read numbers by using a
- date. Others do not have this capability and thus allow you only to
- change the last read number directly.
-
- The last usage date is normally used only if you want to change the scan
- date for new messages. For new users, Silver Xpress will always prompt
- for this date when you first get on. This is basically an option to
- change it.
