  1. File transfer protocol selection
  2.  
  3. RBBS-PC allows you to select a default file transfer protocol.  This
  4. protocol will be used for all file uploads and downloads, unless you
  5. specify a DIFFERENT protocol along with your list of files.
  6.  
  7. Here are some tips to guide your selection:

  9. 1.  You may want not to have a default transfer protocol.  If you select
  10.     None as your default protocol, RBBS-PC will prompt you with the entire
  11.     list of protocols each time.
  12.  
  13. 2.  Whichever protocol you select here, you also should tell your comm
  14.     program to use the same protocol.  This is VERY important!  If your
  15.     comm program supports Zmodem, your SysOp suggests that protocol as
  16.     being the fastest and most reliable.
  17.  
  18. 3.  No matter what you decide, you can still override the default protocol
  19.     by including the letter of your choice along with the name of the file
  20.     you wish to download (e.g.  "D FILE1.ZIP Z" will download FILE1.ZIP
  21.     with Zmodem protocol, regardless of your default choice).
