  4. v1.01 - 07/93   - This release of RBBS-Verify corrects several minor problems
  5.                   present in v1.00 and also adds a few new features. The
  6.                   following is the changes and/or fixes with the release of
  7.                   RBBS-Verify v1.01:
  8.  
  9.                   RBBS-Verify was not operating on some systems using RBBS-PC
  10.                   v17.3C and lower. Fixed.
  11.  
  12.                   RBBS-Verify was generating a "fatal" error if a node number
  13.                   greater than 99 was specified on the command line. Fixed.
  14.                   RBBS-Verify now correctly supports up to a maximum of 99
  15.                   nodes.

  17.                   Removed the need to use the door patch utilities which
  18.                   were distributed with v1.00 - built these routines into
  19.                   RBBS-Verify. Therefore none of these external utilities
  20.                   are required by RBBS-Verify.

  22.                   RBBS-Verify was not creating and initializing it's
  23.                   VERIFIED.DAT, TRASHCAN.DAT, and VERIFYx.LOG files as
  24.                   documented when starting the door in local mode. Fixed.

  26.                   Corrected problems with RBBS-Verify searching for it's
  27.                   LOGOFF/LOGOFFG optional display files, the door was
  28.                   incorrectly displaying a "File not found!" message at
  29.                   times. Fixed.
  30.  
  31.                   Added support for error correcting and non-error correcting
  32.                   dialing strings, to prevent random garbage from appearing
  33.                   when dialing out with a modem with error correction and
  34.                   connecting with a non-error correcting modem.
  35.  
  36.                   USERS.DAT user data file added for possible future
  37.                   additions to RBBS-Verify, this file is also very handy
  38.                   for third party author's use.
  39.  
  40.                   Added support for areas of the U.S. which require dialing
  41.                   the area code but leaving the preceding '1' off when
  42.                   calling some long distance areas. Also added support for
  43.                   areas which require dialing a '1' but no area code when
  44.                   calling some long distance areas. These features are
  45.                   implemented using the new LDCODES1.DAT and LDCODES2.DAT
  46.                   data files.

  48.                   Added a few extra seconds delay when disconnecting to
  49.                   ensure user's at "slow" baud rates such as 1200 and
  50.                   slower do not lose the message.
  51.  
  52.                   Made some big changes to RBBS-Verify's user's guide,
  53.                   added more in-depth details on installation of the door,
  54.                   troubleshooting, etc. Also fixed several existing errors
  55.                   in the documentation distributed with v1.00. Also made
  56.                   some minor changes to the other small documents
  57.                   distributed with RBBS-Verify.

  59.                   Added RVBULL.EXE bulletin maintenance utility which will
  60.                   "trim" RBBS-Verify's optional callback statistic bulletin
  61.                   and will keep the last xxx statistics and purge all old
  62.                   records. Can operate both from the DOS command line, or
  63.                   can be used as a daily system event.

  65.                   Added additional prompt which will allow user's to
  66.                   review the phone number they entered and select whether
  67.                   or not the information is correct, if the user selects
  68.                   "yes", RBBS-Verify will continue with it's "Number to
  69.                   be dialed" prompt, otherwise, the user will be allowed
  70.                   to re-enter their phone number again.

  72.                   Added several additional prompts to RBBS-Verify's callback
  73.                   only mode, which are the same as used in the verification
  74.                   mode, this will allow the user to specify whether or not
  75.                   he or she is calling long distance, if the user selected
  76.                   "yes", RBBS-Verify will inform the user that the callback
  77.                   mode is not available, otherwise the door will continue
  78.                   with the callback process.

  80.                   Several other very minor code changes have been made to
  81.                   RBBS-Verify to tighten things up a bit.

  83.                   IMPORTANT: The configuration file format as well as
  84.                              several other aspects of RBBS-Verify have
  85.                              been changed slightly from v1.00 - be sure
  86.                              to read the supplied UPGRADE.DOC file for
  87.                              instructions on upgrading to this version.

  89. v1.00 - 05/93   - The first version of RBBS-Verify callback verification door
  90.                   is released!
