  11.  program is an as is proggy.  That is you get it, you back up your
  12.  data files, you test it and if you like it you register it AS IS. 
  13. As far as length of time taken to test it, well thats up to you.  I
  14.  know that either you like it and its usefull or you don't and you
  15. don't use it.  If you get the guilts then see the rego info at the end.
  16.   Basically is cardware plus a phone call to pick up a
  17. message that will include your key.  I will send it Via Internet if
  18. you have this available or post you back a letter if thats what you
  19.                                want.
  20.  I offer no indiction of any upgrades or guarantee no support but I will
  21. say this is all I do after my usual work so no doubt if you send me
  22.  a question or bug report, I will try and have an answer for you in
  23.             24 hrs and suggestions will be looked into.

  25.  This program has been tested to the best of my ability by several
  26.   people and so far no major bugs although in an earlier version I
  27.           happened to produce a 32 meg user base (HA HA).

  30.                           NOW WHAT IT DOES

  32.  I use Silver Xpress as my offline mail door/reader (A fine product
  33.   of Hector Santos and Santronics Software) and Remote Access 2.02
  34.    (In my opinion the best software for running a BBS By Wantree
  35.                    Development & Andrew Milner).
  36.  By The Way this program works with RA2.02 and Silver Xpress for RA
  37.                             Version 5.00
  38.  Problem was that in Silver Xpress you can set individual security
  39. levels for different things but me being a lazy persion (most of my
  40.   utils are written for this reason) I wanted something that made
  41. their security level the same as that in RA.  I could remember them
  42. from RA as in Donating Membership has a level of 26 so I would make
  43.         them the same.  The rest basically grew from there.

  46.            Features   (+ indicates a registered feature)

  48.         The Security Level and flags options are selectable in the
  49.                           RA2SX.CFG file.
  50.                           
  51.        If turned on will adjust the security level in
  52.         XPUSER.DAT to that in RA 
  53.                                   
  54.      If selected will turn on or off flags in RA depending on 
  55.   if the user has AUTOSTART and VACATION SAVER on in Silver Xpress
  56.       (I use this to take the users on my BBS to Silver Xpress
  57.                   instead of to the main menu etc)

  59.       Will write a file called NO-USER.LST listing the number
  60.      of the user in XPUSER.DAT, the name and whether the user has
  61.      Vacation saver turned on posibly meaning there is mail packets
  62.      waiting for him if the user is no longer listed in USERS.BBS
  63.      (The RA user Base).  It is up to you to delete the users listed
  64.      or leave them there.

  75.    Drop the RA2SX.EXE and RA2SX.CFG file in the same directory as
  76.   Silver Xpress.  Make sure the RA enviroment is set and edit the
  77.    config file.  An example config file is included but all lines
  78.                      ****MUST*** be filled in..

  96. LINE 6]   The flag in Remote Access to turn on if the user has AUTO
  97. START on in Silver Xpress.  If not required use * .  Must
  98. be a valid Flag as in A1...A2...D8 etc or *
  99. LINE 7]   The flag in Remote Access to turn on if the user has
  100. VACATION SAVER on in Silver Xpress.  If not required
  101. use * .  Must be a valid Flag as in A1...A2...D8 etc or *

  106. Lines 5 6 & 7 must have a vaild Y/N for line 5 and A1 to C8 for 6
  107. and 7 followed by an  return an no spaces.

  109. I am in the middle of doing a config util to stop any problems.....

  111. Failure to follow the above will most likely cause a run time error.

  114.  Thats it.  Run RA2SX.EXE By itself.  Have no other program running
  115.  at the same time that uses XPUSER.DAT or USERS.BBS as this program
  116.   can be called to write to both these files..  If the program is
  117.   registered it will create a backup of XPUSER.DAT by the name of
  118.  DATE.PRE as in 3-12-95.PRE.  This file will only be written once a
  119.   day.  That is if the file already exists when the program is run
  120.      then no further backup will be created for that day/date.

  122.   Some error levels are retuned by the program if a fault exists.

  124.                              They are:
  125.                                   
  126.             (1) Wrong Name or System name in RA2SX.CFG 
  127.            Spelling and capital letters must be the same
  128.     (2) Can't locate XPUSER.DAT Exe file and CFG file must be in
  129.                       Silver Xpress directory
  130.         (3) Can't Locate Users.Bbs.  Usually means that RA's
  131.                   enviroment    is not set correctly.
  132.       (4) The line containing the FLAG or * for the AUTO START
  133.             setting in the config file is not correct.     
  134.     (5) The line containing the FLAG or * for the VACATION SAVER
  135.              setting in the config file is not correct.
  136.               (6) NO RA2SX.CFG file..... Say no more.
  137.              (7) Could not find CONFIG.RA. See error 3
  138.     (8) Can't Create NO-USER.LST.  Usually because of a lack of
  139.                             disk space.
  140.      (9) The line with the Y or N as in LINE 5 in RA2SX.CFG is
  141.                             incorrect

  143.  I offer no really cool graphics etc as this program will mostly be
  144.  run in batch files for nightly maintenance so whats the point and
  145.                     also I am hopeless at them.
  146.   If unregisterd it will pause long enough to read the screen and
  147.  therefore it will take longer to run.  Why?  Because it will still
  148. write errors to the screen instead of a log file but you need to be
  149.                      able to see them. HEY!!!!!

  158.   Nothing really.  I use it.  My mates use it so why not you.  To
  159.  register it send me a post card of you town/city.  I need to know
  160. your name and your BBS's name exactly as in RA.  If it is spelt with
  161.  capitals then I need to know.  One letter out of place and it will
  162. pull up in a screaming heap.  My system is CUFFS BBS if I put CuFFS
  163.  BBS then no go.  Pretty basic isn't it????  It has to be for me to
  164. understand.  I will return you a 20 letter/number combination to put
  165. in the config file and you are away...  You can either pick it up on
