  7.          Prudence and courtesy dictate that we ask you to back up your
  8.          system before installing and/or upgrading to ProBoard v2.15.

  10.          Although every effort has been made to provide you with software
  11.          that will install/upgrade easily, due to the many different number
  12.          of possible hardware and software combinations, it's virtually
  13.          impossible to guarantee that a problem won't occur.  It's your
  14.          system, do what you like, but remember we did ask you to backup
  15.          first.

  28.          Unpack the distribution archive in a temporary directory or to a
  29.          diskette and run INSTALL.EXE.  The installation utility will
  30.          detect if ProBoard is already installed and will ask you if you
  31.          want to update to the new version.  That's all there is to it.
  32.          The update process will run automatically.

  36.          The following section is intented for people who don't want to
  37.          use the automatic installation program for upgrading to
  38.          ProBoard v2.15.

  52.          1)  Remove the "read-only" attribute of your existing PROBOARD.EXE
  53.              by issuing the following DOS command:
  54.  
  55.                 ATTRIB -R PROBOARD.EXE
  56.  
  57.              If your existing PROBOARD.EXE file was not marked "read-only"
  58.              to start with, remember that this is necessary for ProBoard
  59.              to run  correctly since it's an "overlayed" .EXE file.

  61.              You should issue the above command even if you're not sure
  62.              about the present attribute of your current PROBOARD.EXE file.

  67.              If you do not remove the "read-only" attribute from your
  68.              PROBOARD.EXE file, then you will not be able to copy the new
  69.              PROBOARD.EXE file to the directory you are running ProBoard
  70.              from, and the v2.15 upgrade will fail.  Read the above, and be
  71.              sure you understand it before you proceed.

  73.          2)  Copy all executables (*.EXE) from PB_215.ZIP over your old
  74.              executables
  75.  
  76.          3)  Set the read-only attribute of PROBOARD.EXE
  77.  
  78.              ATTRIB +R PROBOARD.EXE

  80.          4)  Copy all *.PEX files from PB_215.ZIP in your PEX directory
  81.              (overwriting the existing PEXes that came with the previous
  82.              version)

  84.          5)  Copy all *.CPP, *.C, *.H, *.HPP, *.OBJ and  *.LIB files from
  85.              PB_215.ZIP in your SDK directory
  86.  
  87.          6)  Copy all *.215, *.DOC and *.TXT files from PB_215.ZIP in your
  88.              documentation directory (or your system directory)
  89.  
  90.          7)  Copy all *.PBL files from PB_215.ZIP in your system directory
  91.              (overwriting the existing language files that came with
  92.               the previous version)

  94.          8)  Copy DEFLANG.PB to your ProBoard system directory.

  96.          9)  Run "CONVERT PB" in your ProBoard system directory.
