Opens this help system. Use F1 to get direct help about the function currently used.
Refresh
Refresh allows you to redraw the screen if it has been destroyed (by multi tasking or TSR programs).
Save DeskTop
This allows you to save the state of all open windows (menus, views, etc) to a desktop file. When a Retrieve
Desktop of the same desktop file is selected, those windows will be loaded and displayed in the same state as when the desktop file was saved.
Retrieve DeskTop
Retrieve a previously-saved state of all open windows from a desktop file. All windows that were open when the Save
Desktop was selected with the above desktop file, will be loaded and displayed in the same window size and position as before.
Clear DeskTop
Closed all open menus and views from the desktop. This function is automatically executed when the Language is changed. A 'Save menu ?' Confirmation will be invoked for each menu that was changed and not saved.

This opens the list of languages that are defined in RA's configuration and allows you to select one. When selected, You will be promped to either clear the desktop, Reload the desktop (which will try to open the same menus currently opened in the new selected language), or Keep the desktop, which will leave the opened menus opened (in the old language). The menus path will be set as specified for that language, and the AutoLoad Menu will be loaded (from the new language menu path).

The Open command allows you to open an existing menu. In the Open Menu dialog box you can selct the file by writing it's name or selecting him from the menu list (use the TAB key to switch from the file name field to the menu list). When Enter is pressed or the OPEN button is pressed, MenuWiz loads the selected menu and displays it in a new window on the desktop.

This will open the menu 'GLOBALRA' in the current language. The GLOBALRA menu is a special menu. All it's commands are active in ALL the menus. It's a good place to have Commands like 'Goto Main Menu' and 'Goodbye'.

Hot keys may be pressed to preform a goto/gosub/return from menu or simply display a message of the command being executed otherwise. Press ESC or CTRL-F3 to close the simulation window.

Dialog This dialog can be used to search menu items by Type,Data substing, Flags, Sec level and KEY. It can also search all the open menus on the desktop, or all matching a wildcard. The Search & Replace can be executed on all the languages at once.

This dialog is divided into three parts : The 'Search for' box, the 'Replace with' box and the Options
dialog. Use OK to confirm or ESC to cancel. You can set Search for any combination of the six fields :
<Type> Will search for entries with this
type only.
<Data> Will search for entries that has
this substring in their Data field.
The replace Data field will either
replace all the Data field or only
the Substring found (configurable)
<Flags> The flags search and replace may be
either in RA style, or in a full
match and replace. (configurable)
<Min-S> Search for this Sec level.
<Max-S> Search for this Max Sec level.
Search & Replace Options

This dialog sets the behavior of the Search
Replace : Use OK to confirm or ESC to cancel.
<Data field> If the search included a string
in the Data field, and an entry is found
that has that string in it's Data field
(substring) then 'Change only' will tell
MenuWiz to replace that substring in the
found entry with the string that's in the
replace Data field. 'Full Replace' will
Replace ALL the Data Field in the found
entry with the Replace Data field. If the
search did not include any string in the
Data field, a Full Replace is forced.
<Flags Search> 'Full match' will only match
entries that their flags field is EXACTLY
like the search flags field. 'RA match'
will match entries who will match each 'X'
and 'O' that are set in the search flags.
Any flag that is not set (i.e. '-') in the
search flags will not be checked.
<Flags Replace> 'Full Replace' will replace
the entire Flags field with the one in
the replace flags field. 'Change only'
will Set or Unset the flags that are set
with 'X' or 'O' and will leave the flags
that are set with '-' as they were.
<Menus to search> Will set the search to
include the current menu, All the menus
that are open in the desktop, or a group
of menus that can be selected by a
wildcard (i.e. '*' will select ALL the
menus in the menus directory !!).
<Menus Wildcards> This field is only used
when 'Wildcards' is used in the Menus to
search.
<Languages> If this will be set to 'All',
not only the menus set in the 'Menus to
search' will be searched , but also the
same menus in all other languages.
(i.e. selecting a '*' in the 'menus to
search' and 'All' in the Languages to
search will search ALL the menus in ALL
the languages !!)
<Options> 'Case sensitive' - will set a case
sensitive Data field search.
'No-Ask' - will NOT ask to confirm replace
on each entry found.
'Menus No-Ask' will NOT ask to confirm the
search on every menu that is to be
searched (If more then one menu is set for
the search, i.e. Wildcards,Desktop or All
Languages)

Resize, the active window moves in response to the arrow keys. Once you've moved the window to where you want it, press Enter. F
You can also move a window by dragging its title bar with the mouse.

The Colors item brings up the Colors
dialog , where you can customize the colors of the display. Use the Config|Save
Config to save the new colors so that they will be automatically loaded when Menuwiz is loaded again.
Help on the Colors dialog box
The Colors dialog box consists of two list boxes, a text display area, the standard OK, Cancel, and Help buttons, and one of the following:
On color and black-and-white systems, it
also contains two color palettes.
On monochrome systems, it contains a set
of radio buttons instead of the palettes.
This dialog box is where you can change the colors of different parts of this program.

On all systems, the display text (above the Help button) shows the current color or attribute settings. a
Changes do not take effect on the desktop until you close the Colors dialog box by choosing OK.

Rulers
The Rulers item brings up the Rulers dialog where you can customize the display rulers. In each ruler you can decide which fields will show when that ruler is used. The screen is divided into four Rulers. Each ruler Consist of 3 parts. Use TAB to move between parts and Rulers. Use Enter when Done. Use the Config|Save
Config to save the new Rulers so that they will be automatically loaded when Menuwiz is loaded again. The Rulers parts are: K
<Type> You can select one of the three
Types using the Up/Down keys :
None - Type field not displayed.
Numeric - Type Number displayed.
Text - Type description displayed
<Fields> Use Space to Set/Clear each field.
Only fields with a 'X' will be displayed.
'Limits' refers to the Limits dialog and
'Grp,Node' refers to the Groups and Nodes
dialogs. All off these will be displayed
as a '
' and can be opened by a mouse click
or Enter.
<Data Length> If Data field is selected,
This determines its length. The field
itself can be scrolled when edited, so
small Data Length will cause no problems.

Externals
This item brings up the 'External Shells' dialog where you may setup the external Ansi/Ascii/Other editors, and other Shells. This shells can be executed from the Menu|Editors and the Menu|Shells. Use the Config|Save
Config to save the new Externals so that they will be automatically loaded when Menuwiz is loaded again.
The difference between the 'Editors' and the 'Shells' is that when an 'Editor' is executed, the current directory is changed into the TEXT directory of the current language. When Shells are used , the current directory is changed into the MENUS directory. Each Editor/Shell have two fields : it's name and the command. The name can have one letter enclosed in two wave signs to set a HOT key. (i.e. '~A~nsi' will have a hot key of 'A'). L
The command can include the following substrings that will be translated :
%n where n is a number from 1 to 9, will
be translated into the n'th word in the
data field of the current command.
(i.e. 'thedraw %1.td').
%0 Will be replaced by ALL the data field.
%m Will be replaced by the current
language Menu Path.
%t Will be replaced by the current
language Text Path.
%q Will be replaced by the current
language Questionnaire Path.
%r Will be replaced by RA's path.

This dialog sets the following options: O
<Auto Simulate> will start the BBS simulate
as soon as MenuWiz is loaded.
<Auto Save> Will automatically save changed
menus without asking for a confirmation.
This might be risky if you made a mistake,
MenuWiz will automatically save the menu
when you close it or exit menuwiz.
<Auto Desktop> Will automatically save and
load the desktop when MenuWiz is Loaded
and terminated. (Will not reload desktop
if Auto Simulate is Selected)
<Inherited Ruler> Will open new menus in
the same ruler as the Current Menu and
not as Ruler 1.
<Auto Menu> The menu to automatically load
when Menuwiz is loaded.
<Auto Lang> Language to startup with. 0 For
'Default language'

Will setup the default simulate parameters. This is exactly like the File|Simu
Setup setup , but it will be automatically loaded with MenuWiz.

Save Config
Saves all changes made in the Config menu to MenuWiz setup file. Menuwiz will also ask if you wish to save the setup , when exit is selected and the setup was changed and NOT saved using this option.
Menu Window
In this window you can edit the current menu. The menu name is displayed at the top of the Window with the Ruler number in []. The Current Language is displayed at the menu line. Press F1 now to get help on using the online help.
Valid Keys are :
F10 Open the Pull down Menu. You can Also use Alt-Space (for the System sub menu),
Alt-F,Alt-M,Alt-W,Alt-C for the File,Menu,Window and Config sub menus.
Arrows Move Lines and Fields.
Tab,S-Tab Moves like right and left keys.
PgUp/PgDn Move one page Up or Down
Ctrl-PgUp View top of file
