  21. Notify User Of New Mail
  22. -----------------------
  23. RemoteAccess 2.00gamma has the ability to notify a user when someone on another
  24. node posts a message to them. You may have McCbv do the same thing.  As soon as
  25. the user returns to the BBS, they will receive an Online Message informing them
  26. that they have new mail waiting. This Online Message uses the same format as RA
  27. 2.00g You MUST Run RemoteAccess with MultiNode Set To YES!

  30. Attempt Unknown Local Calls
  31. ---------------------------
  32. If this is set to  YES,  and a user enters a number that is not recognised as a
  33. local  number,  McCbv will see if his  Area Code  matches any area code  in the
  34. Mc_Cbv.Loc file.  If the users Area Code is the same as any of  YOUR local area
  35. codes, then it will ASK the user if it SHOULD be a local call. If the user says
  36. YES,  then it will be dialed WITHOUT the Long Distance Prefix,  and WITHOUT the
  37. Area Code.  If it was NOT a valid local number, you will likely get a Recording
  38. From the Telephone company.  If it  WAS a Local Number,  and you reconnect with
  39. the user,  then the  First 8 Characters of this users Number will be written to
  40. the Mc_Cbv.Loc file,  along with the appropriate dial String.  This means McCbv
  41. will effectively find all your Local Exchanges for you as you run it!

  44. Save Verified #'s Where?
  45. ------------------------
  46. McCbv can be  configured to  Save the phone number that is used when connecting
  47. with the user.  You can have it  saved in  any of the  following fields  in the
  48. RemoteAccess Users Record:

  50.          0 - Disables Saving Verified Number to user record.
  51.          1 - Voice Phone Number
  52.          2 - Data Phone Number
  53.          3 - User Comment Field
  54.          4 - Organization Field
  55.          5 - Line 1 of the Users Address
  56.          6 - Line 2 of the Users Address
  57.          7 - Line 3 of the Users Address

  60. Set Users Subdays
  61. -----------------
  62. Number Of Days until the Users Subscription Expires.  This is for Long Distance
  63. Users which you do NOT allow McCbv To Call. A value of 0 will leave the current
  64. Expiry Date unchanged. You may set a different value for Local Validated Users,
  65. Long  Distance  Validated  Users,  and also a  default for  Non-Validated  Long
  66. Distance Callers who you wish to upgrade without actually calling them.

  69. Set Users UserGroup Number
  70. --------------------------
  71. User Group Number that Non-Verified Long Distance callers should belong to. A 0
  72. will leave the current group unchanged RA 1.1x allows up to 255 Groups, RA 2.00
  73. allows 65,535 Groups!  You may set a different value for Local Validated Users,
  74. Long  Distance  Validated  Users,  and also a  default for  Non-Validated  Long
  75. Distance Callers who you wish to upgrade without actually calling them.

  78. Send Messages To Sysop
  79. ----------------------
  80. McCbv may be configured to send  Messages to the  Sysop in the  Hudson  Message
  81. Base when each user uses the CBV. This will let the sysop know WHO is validated
  82. and who failed,  and the reasons.  These messages are  fully configurable using
  83. the Message Templates, and support many of the RA TextFile Control Codes.

  86. Call Return
  87. -----------
  88. Call Return feature, included on opening menu,  allows the sysop to use calling
  89. services for LD callers,  force callback secured link,  and allow local callers
  90. to reverse a  poor connection,  all  optionally configurable.  A separate  Call
  91. Return minimum security level can be specified.

  94. Long Distance Macros
  95. --------------------
  96. In conjunction with Call Return, up to 9 LD Macros can specified, each with its
  97. own set of flags, security, LD hours, and other parameters.

  99. Reverify Deleted Users
  100. ----------------------
  101. If you set Dupe Checking to 3, to scan the RA Users.Bbs AND the Mc_Cbv.Ok file,
  102. you may automatically update users who have already been  validated by the Cbv,
  103. but who have been  deleted from the  Users.Bbs   When this is true AND you have
  104. created a  REVERLD.A?? and or  REVERLOC.A?? ascii and ansi file, then that file
  105. will be shown to the user,  and they will be treated as if the  callback  was a
  106. success. REVERLD will be shown to Long Distance Callers,  and REVERLOC to local
  107. callers.  This is useful if you delete users  from your bbs after so many days,
  108. and they call back,  you don't have to call them again.  This is even better if
  109. you allow LD callbacks.

  111. Multiple Languages
  112. ------------------
  113. Create a language file for  any language you have defined in RA.  CBVSetup will
  114. read your  language.ra file to see what languages you have set up.  When a user
  115. enters the  door who is using a  language  other than 0,  then it will  use the
  116. language they specified.

  118. More Welcome Message Templates
  119. ------------------------------
  120. The WELCOME.MSG template posted to user now has five additional versions,  plus
  121. language specific versions.
