  4. At least Herald is able to read FILEAREA.DAT to locate the areas and 
  5. ALLFILES.DAT to get the file descriptions. He does not support that 
  6. weired passwording scheme and multiple paths for one area. Because WC
  7. does not use security levels to grant access to areas this value is
  8. also void.

  10. Herald ignores the passwords in WC's config, the date of last access
  11. as well as upload dates and file size are not used - Herald takes both
  12. from the file itself.

  14. And, Herald is up to now not able to write ALLFILES.DAT. WC uses a btree
  15. system to store all information, at first I have to figure out how it
  16. works.

  18. But at least you can create file lists and announcements for WC 3.x systems
  19. and generate FILES.BBS for d'bridge mailers. Autoadded files will not be
  20. inserted in ALLFILES.DAT but show in the lists and FILES.BBS, files removed
  21. will vanish from both lists and FILES.BBS.
