  1. If you are upgrading from version GOMAIL v1.X to version 2.0 These 
  2. instructions should get you upgraded quickly without much pain.
  3.  
  4.     1. Backup all files in your GOMAIL directory!
  5.     
  6.     2. Use GOEdit to EXPORT your configuration to an Ascii file.
  7.        Run GOEdit, and select the IMPORT / EXPORT menu option, then
  8.        select EXPORT. When asked for a filename type "GOMAIL.XPT".
  9.         
  10.     
  11.     3. Delete the following files from your GOMail directory:
  12.  
  13.         GOMAIL.DAT
  14.         GOCONF.*
  15.         DUPMAIL.*
  16.         GOMAIL.EXE
  17.         GOEDIT.EXE
  18.  
  19.     4. Install the new GOMail files in your GOMail directory.
  20. *** Registered users - Do NOT overwrite your GOMail Key. ;)

  22.     5. Run GOEdit and import the Ascii file that you exported in Step 1.
  23.        Select IMPORT / EXPORT, then select IMPORT. A listing of all files
  24.        will be displayed. Select the file that you exported in Step 1. 
  25.        This should have been GOMAIL.XPT
  26.  
  27.     6. While still in GOEDIT, import FIDONET.NA. 
  28.        Select OPTIONS / IMPORT FIDONET.NA.
  29.     
  30.     7. Save and Exit GOEdit
  31.  
  32.     8. Run GOMail Toss to create your new GOCONF.* files.
  33.  
  34.     9. Start GOEdit and modify any taglines for specific conferences as
  35.        needed.
  36.  
  37.    10. Make sure you export your configuration as an ascii file, this will
  38.        save all of the taglines you have modified and can be imported at a
  39.        later time if needed.

  41.    11. Save and Exit GOEdit.
