  5.       This is the public announcement of FrontDoor Manager 1.00.SW Gamma-1.
  6.  
  7.       Introduction
  8.       ------------
  9.  
  10.       There hasn't been much software around which would display information
  11.       about the BBS nodes and process incoming files and messages at an
  12.       appropriate time. It is waste of time to let each task do their own mail
  13.       tossing and scanning. Why not let one software do it all?
  14.  
  15.       We introduce you FrontDoor Manager which is a maintenance utility for
  16.       FrontDoor (multiLine/Shareware). FrontDoor Manager supports also several
  17.       BBS softwares including RemoteAccess, Concord and PCBoard.

  19.       FrontDoor Manager has four main purposes which are accomplished by using
  20.       external user defined software.
  21.  
  22.         FDMGR will toss and process all incoming mail packets. Tossing of
  23.         thousands of messages can take over 30 minutes of on-line time away
  24.         from users.
  25.  
  26.         FDMGR will process all incoming files. If you're a member of a large
  27.         file network or even a file host or hub the process can take MUCH
  28.         time which is away from your BBS users.
  29.  
  30.         FDMGR will take care of updating the nodelists.
  31.  
  32.         FDMGR is capable of handling internal and external events. At a user
  33.         defined time it can execute an external software or an internal script
  34.         or just exit back to the operating system.

  36.       But that is not all. FrontDoor Manager has hundreds of great features
  37.       including the following.

  39.         FDMGR is fully DESQview and OS/2 aware. It takes advantage of the
  40.         multitasking features and opens new tasks when required.

  42.         FDMGR can be part of your BBS. You can make FDMGR to install itself on
  43.         one of your BBS nodes as a visible user.

  45.         FDMGR will reply messages written by users on-line with a user defined
  46.         reply or the default reply.
  47.  
  48.         FDMGR can be used to send on-line messages to users.
  49.  
  50.         FDMGR can display task or node status with the current user
  51.         information and last caller information.
  52.  
  53.         FDMGR has remote maintenance capabilities which gives the possibility
  54.         to change the settings on-line or via netmail.

  56.       Please note that not all the features are included in 1.00.SW Gamma-1.

  62.       announcement. Worldwide registrations are accepted by FINCOMM SYSTEMS
