  3. Here it is a new version of EASTtag.
  4. It costs a little more time then a was thinking of but that is becouse
  5. the Ra 2.00 came not in a few weeks but in a few months. ;((
  6.  
  7. I wanna to wait with this release becouse you never know what Andrew maybe
  8. want to change after the buggie release of the 2.00g1 version.

  10. Now I had some time to make EASTtag so good as posible and this is almost
  11. te latest version of it. Only when there are to many bugs in the version
  12. i will make another.

  14. Okay lets begin the whatsnew report....

  18.    EASTtag now auto detects and runs under Remote Access 1.1x and 2.00 and
  19.    Proboard 1.30/1.31. This is one of the most big changes of this version
  20.

  24.    TAGSETUP > PATHS > SWAPPATH 
  25.  
  26.    This is a the Path where EASTtag can swap to or can create its temporary
  27.    files. This is also the path where EASTtag extract files from an archive
  28.    to view with the internal viewer.

  30.    TAGSETUP > PATHS > CDROMPATH > CDROM AREAS (RA 1.1x Only)

  32.    If you're running a Ra 1.1x board you can't enter your CDrom Areas
  33.    in Raconfig so EASTtag needs to now what your Cdrom area are.
  34.    EASTtag skips this areas with a newfile scan and also looks for a 
  35.    file called FILES.(num) in the CdRomPath (Where num is the current area).

  37.    TAGSETUP > TRUNC.DESCRIPTION {+}

  39.    This option is specialy for people who use FILE_ID.DIZ in there FILES.BBS.
  40.    Normaly EASTtag wraps the description if it is too long for one sentence
  41.    to the ext line, but with this option set EASTtag truncates the line until
  42.    the end of the screen.

  58.    /U: Upload Search file list. Now the user can upload a list with
  59.        filenames to search for.. EASTtag first displays a ANS/ASC file
  60.        called HELP_UP.A??.

  62.    /O: With this parameter you can directly choose an area to view
  63.        for example /O5 directly views area 5.
  64.  
  65.    /C: With this parameter EASTtag asks the user to search only in the
  66.        current file group or on all areas. (RA 2.00)
  67.        This option only works on Filenaam/Keyword/Newfile scan.

  70.    ET_HEAD.ANS :

  72.    If you want to first display a header in your arealister before view/tag the
  73.    filenames you can make a ansi file called ET_HEAD.ANS and place it into the
  74.    file directory.  EASTtag displays this ansi file before viewing the area.

  77.    VIEWDOOR :

  79.    Now EASTtag has its own Internal viewdoor. So you don't need ET_VIEW.EXE
  80.    anymore. It doesn't work anymore because i changed the config files a bit.
  81.    You can use MTS or any other external viewdoors but the internal viewer
  82.    is also very cool.

  88.    If a user has EMSI on and has NEWFILES requested EASTtag doesn't ask
  89.    him/her to search for newfiles. It simply does it.. ;-))

  91.    EASTtag now recognize furterdate files and show's them in the newfile
  92.    search..  This is very handy if you want to show some files for a long 
  93.    time.

  95.    Made a special key '3' to skip current area when searching for keyword/
  96.    filemname or newfiles. I made this aspecialy if you want to skip the
  97.    area becouse the are so many files you want see. ;-))

  102.    After Killing the Tagfile you couldn't tag anymore on the current screen
  103.    This was one off the nasty bugs in 2.23.

  105.    The wrap description procedure wasn't what it was used to be.
  106.    Most of the time EASTtag wrapted too quick and the files.bbs look terrible
  107.    Now it wrap from point 79 on the screen if trunc description is NOT set.

  109.    If EMSI users had FILE requested EASTtag also ask "Look for new files"
  110.    Now EASTtag doesn't ask for it and starts new file seaarch.

  112.    Changed the jump procedure a bit sometimes it messed up a bit.

  114.    EASTtag wraped to sone lines of the description..

  116.    If you chatted when EASTtag was searching the screen fucked up when 
  117.    leaving the chatter...

  119.    In the internal chatter you now have a normal (Ra look alike) statusbalk.

  121.    You now can press the 'S' key when searching for a file and easttag
  122.    comes with the option balk. You don't have to wait until the whole screen
  123.    is filled with files.

  125.    When you used an external viewdoor EASTtag didn't read the BBSTAGFL.?
  126.    Now it does. and also writes one before executing the external door.

  128.    Changed some in the Users time left procedure EASTtag didn't swowed the
  129.    user if he/she had only a few minutes left. Now it's the same as RA does.

  131.    The Tag/View filename sometimes apeared under the filename in the list.
  132.    This is fixed now. But if a user hasned give his/her good screenlength
  133.    it can be wrong again. So if a user complains about it ask his/her 
  134.    screenlength before writing the auther about this.

  136.    Some things gone very bad when you only had a '+' on a longdescription
  137.    line.. This was in the same procedure as the wrapprocedure. So it's 
  138.    fixed to.
