  7.      program you received from Omen Technology to use with future versions of
  8.      DSZ you may download!  (Use GCOLORS to serialize GSZ.)

  11.      (IBM Roundtable), CompuServe (IBMCOM and CONSULT SIGs) as well as Omen's
  12.      TeleGodzilla (503-621-3746).

  14.      DSZ is a popular program which has been the object of virus attacks.
  15.      Pirated/hacked versions of DSZ have cost users and DSZ's developer
  16.      thousands of dollars in lost time and other expenses, in addition to
  17.      injuring of Omen Technology's reputation.

  19.      Virus and Trojan code hidden in hacked/pirated copies of DSZ and
  20.      programs claiming to "register DSZ" have caused loss of data.

  31.      Your copy of DSZ should show the same CRC values.  ZIP uses a 32 bit CRC
  32.      compatible with the Professional-YAM and ZCOMM "crc" command.

  39.      If your copy shows a different CRC or file length, insist on a
  40.      legitimate copy and report the source of the bogus/pirated copy to Omen
  41.      Technology Inc.  Omen Technology has received reports of serious
  42.      problems caused by unauthorized patches to DSZ, and cannot assume
  43.      liability for the performance of the resultant code.

  48.      A problem in the 1/17/89 and 2/2/89 DSZ versions corrupts files under
  49.      unusual circumstances.  Please delete all instances of the 1/17/89 and
  50.      2-02-89 version.

  52.      There never was a "zmodem d" parameter in DSZ.  Older versions of DSZ
  53.      ignored attempts to set this nonexistent parameter with a message that
  54.      humans ignored.  DSZ now aborts when asked to set a nonexistent

  64.      files; Bulletin boards that need to disable time/date stamping of
  65.      received files should simply use "pd0" not preceded by a "z".

  67.      Good news for tired frog stompers!  The ZMODEM rz/sz programs are
  68.      available in native VMS flavors with wild cards, record format support,
  69.      etc..  Pre compiled VAX/VMS files are contained in the RZSZ.TLB

  71.      upgrade/vms subdirectory, Compuserve VAXFORUM, GEnie, and other bulletin

  73.      mirrors.  (Get RZSZAXP.TLB for Alpha VMS systems.)

  75.      The DSZ and GSZ "t" command uses the DOS console driver for terminal
  76.      emulation.  Standard ANSI.SYS is limited to a small subset of ANSI
  77.      escape sequences; NANSI.SYS, FANSI-Console and other replacement console
  78.      drivers provide faster screen updates and better ANSI terminal
  79.      emulation.

  84.      Jun 7 1995: Added support for the Texas Insturments TL16C550C ACE with
  85.      AUTO-FLOW control.  This chip is identified as type 4.  GSZ displays
  86.      were optimized.

  94.      escaping requests which can specify the all ones character FF to be
  95.      escaped.

  97.      April 26 1994: The ZMODEM k, K and J numeric parameters have been added
  98.      to help on machines with old style UARTS encountering LSR 02 serial inut
  99.      errors.

  101.      Feb 25 1994: The Windows multitasking added in the Jan 27 version has
  102.      been modified; it was overly generous.  The subchapter on Windows
  103.      operation has been changed.

  105.      Feb 02 1994: Fixed anomalies with YMODEM-g and time display.  Hardware
  106.      support was revised to accommodate a Hayes ESP board incompatibility
  107.      with the 16550 spec.

  109.      Jan 27 1994:  Added the "G" command to send an XON character to the
  110.      modem.  This is useful when calling dsz from MSKermit as MSKermit sends
  111.      an XOFF character to the modem.  Multitasking on OS/2 and Windows has
  112.      been improved.  Handshake slow is more aggressive in flushing disk
  113.      buffers.
