Created some small submenus and changed [Q] for Quit into [L] for Leave (cause you don't quit ChatMan, but only leave the current chat). For easy of use Q is still accepted. ■ For speed purposes the CHATMAN.DAT file is now binary, no more quick & dirty ascii-editing it, but faster loading. ■ /% Parameter added. Can be used to force user into a specified chat like with /#. Difference is that with /% users will not return to the BBS when they quit, but will then get the chat- screen where they can select other chats. ■ /. Parameter added. Disables inactivity timer & timecheck. Making it possible to have a ChatMan Window all the time in order not to have to start it up everytime someone pages you. Disable downloading in Chat Manager for current session ■ Users that were forced into a chat are now put in it even if they don't have the approriate securitylevel ■ ESC no longer gives helpscreen but exits in main screen. CRC check /![!] still works, but no longer needs external CRC files. - Unregistered versions that are overdue (beyond a certain date after release) will now limit chattime to 10 min. per chat. Now all data needed to allow downloads is present. - [Remote Access only] Watching and paging other lines with U from the startup- screen. Supports hidden users/donotdisturb. - [Networks only] Added TSR program to detect a user that is paging the sysop on another terminal, check SYSOPTSR.COM - [Remote Access only] Now writes userdoes.xxx file in semaphore directory so other users will see the user is in Chat Manager. Also exits if RAXITn.e is detected in the semaphore directory. Also FILES.CTL and LIMITS.CTL are used for downloads. - Users can now select help in the startup-screen using ESC. This causes Chat Manager to display CHATINFO.TXT that should be located in the ChatMan directory - Windows Dos-Box time-slicing support added - New parameter /# can be used to place a user in a specific chat. e.g. /#C places user in Chat C - Support for CMFIXSUB.CTL, determine fixed subjects for specific chats. - MAXTUNCV.EXE Converts Maximus yellfiles to Chat Manager format. This one is in CM_MAXIM.ARJ - Text can now be saved as a message into your messagebase currently only the hudson message base is supported (I'm working on squish) - ChatInfo.TXT is now displayed if a user selects info from the main screen. Edit it and place it in the ChatMan directory. - ALT-J for (sysop) Jump to DOS, at the moment no swap to disk/ems is done so you migth not get so much memory Swapping will probably be present in the next version. - Configurable subject added for chats that users forget to give a subject - Typing in someone's window now put's you on a new line automatically - Paging hours are now specified on a per day basis, allowing them to differ for each day of the week - Screen output goes now straight to desqview's screen buffers (if detected) - Random tune is now selected each time a user pages instead of only at startup. Check out the manual for a description of these files. /5 and /6 can be used to specify other names and locations. - Reduced diskaccess a lot, should work faster now - Reduced EXE size a lot thanx to a new library with smaller (and faster!) routines. - Revised manual and added small special sections for RA/QBBS/MAXIMUS/OPUS/SBBS/RBBS/NOVELL - Renamed CHATMAN.SPY to CMSPY.CTL, Rename yours too! (CTL files indicate Ascii-editable) - Added menu to cmsetup, no longer the need to walk through all settings, seperate Macromenu added. - Changed ALT-L to ALT-D for RA Compatibility (ALT-L is Lockout in RA) - Time is now accurately shown every minute and after CRSR Up/Down. Added ALT-I to statusbat to watch ALT-Keys (only in on-line mode) - Internal CRC check for ChatMan.EXE added. CRC file is needed for this. Use /! and /!! to check for virusses (see manual) - Removed SHARE check, was incompatible with DRDOS, Share is now only checked when exiting CMSETUP and using /N it's not even checked in CMSETUP - Filenames specified with /1 /2 /3 /4 /5 /6 that have no path attached are now only searched for in the current directory at the time Chat Manager starts.
