  2. Welcome to Across The Wire Magazine by T&J Software

  4. Main Menu Command:
  5. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  6. Once you reach the main menu (showing the first several articles) you
  7. will have the following options:
  8.  
  9. [Mxxx]Mark Article for DL
  10.  
  11.         Enter the letter M followed by the article number to tag. When
  12.         you exit the door, you will be prompted for a download
  13.         protocol to download your packet for offline reading. The
  14.         filename will be ATW<node number>.TXT.
  15.  
  16. [B]ack Issues
  17.  
  18.         If your sysop keeps more than one months ATW online this
  19.         option will be present on the menu-bar. Simply select B and
  20.         you will be presented with a list of back issues available.
  21.         Select the back issue by typing the month and year to view
  22.         (i.e. 1295 will bring up the December 1995 issue).

  24. [Q]uit the door.
  25.  
  26. [##] Enter Article number to read.
  27.  
  28.         Simply enter the article number you want to read. While viewing
  29.         the article, you can page forward and page backward.
  30.  
  31. [S]earch for Keyword.
  32.  
  33.         Allows you to do a global keyword search (20 characters maximum).
  34.         You will be prompted to enter the keyword, the starting article
  35.         number (or ENTER for the first article), the ending article
  36.         number (or ENTER for the last article), and then [H]its per
  37.         Article or [A]rticles matched.

  39.         You will also be prompted if you would like to only match
  40.         the single word only.

  42.         EXAMPLE: Searching for the CAR
  43.  
  44.         osCAR would show up as a hit unless you specified only
  45.         match the whole word.

  47.         [H]its per article will show a flashing asterisk to the
  48.         left of each article where a match was found and will also
  49.         display how many times the word was matched.
  50.  
  51.         [A]rticles matched will only display a flashing asterisk.

  53. [H]elp will display this document.

  55. [ENTER] for the next set of articles to read.

  57. [P]revious menu.
  58.  
  59. [C]lear marked range will remove the flashing asterisks and/or the
  60. matched number of articles.

  62. [J]ump to the beginning of the article menu.

  64. [L]eave a Letter to the Editors. As long as the sysop uploads the
  65. LOG files to T&J Software, your comments will be answered in a future
  66. issue! Leave up to 10 lines of text.
