  1. The Story of the Birth of SoftNet.

  3.      Set your SoftNet Time Viewer for Spring, 1995. As your screen
  4. slowly clears, you'll see Rod Hancock fadin away into dust. So David
  5. and Peter thought maybe Rod would be willing to sell Motor City Software
  6. shareware product line to them.  So they started to write Rod messages
  7. and messages finally in November Rod says YES. He would sell us the
  8. entire shareware product line and source codes.
  9.  
  10.      While Peter continues to talk to Rod. You see David off trying
  11. to get a beta team togather. Rod decides on a price. So David
  12. and Peter comes up with the money. You now see Rod putting up
  13. the software so Peter can start to get it.
  14.  
  15.      Fade in a short time later. David and Peter has the source
  16. and they are going at it to change over the source to SoftNet.
  17. SoftNet is borned.
  18.  
  19.      So now SoftNet need's Registration site; so we started to
  20. looking around. Peter Janssens was a reg. site for Motor City
  21. so we started to talk to him and he agrees right away. But
  22. still need someone in the United States and other countries.
  23. We find Jim Smoot in the wing with his other products.  So we
  24. started to talk to Jim.  It doesn't take long for Jim to realize
  25. what a great chance for him to add a Great new line of doors
  26. and utilities...

  28.      Fade in. Peter and David are hard at work with all the code
  29. and the beta team is hard at work going though the program with
  30. fine tooth comb.  Many advancement are being made with the code
  31. but there is not enough time for just 2 programmers to complete
  32. all of the projects. When a long comes a programmer that David
  33. and Peter has had some dealing in the past. Randell Baker is
  34. talking to David on the phone and wants to know if he could
  35. program for SoftNet. So after a little time of talking there all
  36. agree on the terms. So Now SoftNet has an other programmer on board.

  38.      Another Fade in.  Ozz Nixon appears from his internet server
  39. (hotblast.com) to jump at the chance to code on the SoftNet
  40. team with any help he can.  Ozz is a member of Info System Technology,
  41. Inc's Programming team, which is a parent corp of SoftNet.

  43.      Our SoftNet Time Viewer brings us back to the present to finds
  44. SoftNet team still dedicated to producing the best software possible.
  45. Often projects begin as small utilities to handle a specific problem,
  46. but blossom under the talented hands of the programming team. As the
  47. reputation of SoftNet Software grows so does it basic needs.
