- Keno is intended for those people who like good old fashioned
- competition. There are no killing other people on the BBS, no aliens
- from outer space, no Cadet stealing your money and blowing up your
- ships while your gone and no extra time to download that new nude
- GIF file of Madonna you don't have enough time to get. All you get
- if you win is the satisfaction of knowing you have the best score on
- the BBS for other people to try to beat.
-
- You begin Keno with $5, Each time you enter the Game.
-
- Each game costs you $1 win or lose.
-
- You will be asked to select 8 numbers between 1 and 80. All
- you do is type in the numbers you want and hit enter after each
- one. Keno will show you which numbers you selected both on the
- gamescreen and on a status line right above where you enter your
- numbers. IF you pick a number or key that is Not Between 1 and 80
- Keno will inform you of your mistake.
-
- After the 8th number Keno will randomly select 30 numbers
- between 1 to 80. You must match at least 5 of these 30 numbers
- to win any money.
-
- Numbers you select appear in light green.
-
- After you have selected your 8 numbers, Keno will show the
- numbers as follows:
-
- Numbers NOT picked by either Keno or the Player - Cyan.
- Numbers picked by the player and NOT Keno - Light Green.
- Numbers picked by Keno but NOT the player - Light Red.
- Numbers picked by Keno AND the player - WHITE!
-
- Matching 5 numbers gets you $10.
- Matching 6 numbers gets you $100.
- Matching 7 numbers gets you $2000.
- Matching 8 numbers gets you $5000.

- These docs assume you have a vague idea of how to run a door with
- your particular BBS system. This "should" be one of the easiest doors
- you have ever setup on your system. It can't be made much simpler than
- this. There is no configuration file.
-
- The only files you need initially are "Keno.EXE","DORINFO1.DEF",
- "Keno.ANS" The door will make all the data files it needs.
-
- Step 1. Make a directory for the Keno.EXE file.
- Step 2. Unarchive and copy the Keno.EXE file to the directory you made.
- Step 3. Add a menu entry to run the door (and modify menu screens as
- necessary).
-
- RA/QBBS Note
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~
- In your menu editor...
-
- Display : ^K^eno Door
- Action : Type 7 exit
- Optional Data : C:\MCS\KENO\Keno.EXE /N*N *M
-
- Commandline Options
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- /N for Node number IE: /N2
- (/N*N for QBBS/SBBS & RA sysops)
-
- /D to use DOOR.SYS instead of DORINFO1.DEF
-
- /DEBUG for writing detailed debug report format is DEBUG01.JPD
- (Where 01 is replaced by Current node number.)
-
- Other BBS's
- ~~~~~~~~~~~
- Create the standard RBBS type "DORINFO1.DEF" and run Keno.EXE
- from your system or Gap style DOOR.SYS file.
