- This is the first release of ACID. It was tested using RemoteAccess 2.02+,
- BinkleyTerm 2.59a, a SupraFAXModem 288e, and the Caller ID services provided by
- AGT in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
-
- Unfortunately, Caller ID is a relatively new thing in the modeming world,
- and I have not been able to find much information on how different phone
- companies provide their CID information, or how different modems pick up this
- information and report it to the computer. As such, ACID may not work properly
- with all systems.
-
- While I've tried to provide as much configurability as possible, there
- still may be situations where ACID just simply won't work. If you encounter
- one of these situations, PLEASE do not give up on this door! Instead, contact
- me and I can implement a solution, probably within a day. The 'A' in ACID
- stands for "Adaptable", and I want ACID to be as adaptable as possible. But I
- can't do that without your help.
-
- For further information, consult the section in ACID.DOC entitled
- "Compatibility Issues".
