- INSTALLATION
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------

- 1) Unzip everything into your XPRESS directory.
-
- 2) Make sure the file attribute is READ/WRITE for the Xpress files.
-
- Usually XPMAIL.EXE is made READ-ONLY for multi-mode operations. Change
- it back to normal by using the DOS ATTRIB command, like so:
-
- ATTRIB XPMAIL.EXE -r
-
- 3) Type:
-
- PATCH 54xxA
-
- where xx is your BBS model stated above.
-
- If you want a backup of the changes made, type instead:
-
- PATCH 54xxA -B
-
- To restore to the PREVIOUS setup, type the following:
-
- CD BACKUP
- COPY UNPATCH.BAK UNDO.BAT
- UNDO
- ERASE UNDO.BAT

- 4) Change the file attribute back to READ-ONLY.
