  11. Thank you for trying 3DCTRL.  In the spirit of Ken Levy's GENSCRNX,
  12. I offer my efforts for 3DCTRL free of charge for most situations (if you
  13. wish to use 3DCTRL in a commercial application, please send me e-mail).

  15. More than 120 hours of development time went into the creation of 3DCTRL.
  16. It represents an area of FoxPro that I felt need subsantial improvement,
  17. and GENSCRNX provided the most effective way to solve the problem.  For
  18. details of what 3DCTRL can accomplish, please read the 3DCTRL.TXT file
  19. included in this package.

  21. I have now created several drivers for GENSCRNX, most of which I have
  22. put on CompuServe free of charge.  These have included:
  23.  
  24. BRWX    - Create an integrated browse automatically within a screen
  25. LASTOBJ - Creates a variable, _lastobj, which represents the object
  26.           used prior to the currently-selected object
  27. FSCROLL - Create vertically-scrolling fields automatically.
  28.  
  29. 3DCHECK - The precursor to 3DCTRL, although 3DCTRL was largely re-written.

  31. I am not including source code for this particular utility due to
  32. constraints placed on my at work (we can't have a competitor using
  33. my code!)

  35. However, source code is available for $20.  You will receive all future
  36. source code for any updated versions as well.

  38. Final Note:
  39. -----------
  40. Because I am a developer of a commercial application, the company that I
  41. work for would frown on the idea of allowing this utility to be used in a
  42. competing product.  For that reason, you must explicitly license 3DCTRL
  43. for each commercial application that your company develops.  The version
  44. of 3DCTRL contained in this package adds a routine to the startup of the 
  45. screen that will check for the existance of a certain file, and if it 
  46. exists, will place a copyright notice onscreen for 15 seconds before 
  47. continuing.  I have no choice but to take this protective measure -- 
  48. without doing so, I would not be in a position to make 3DCTRL available.
  49. The filename that 3DCTRL checks for is bizarre enought that it should not
  50. exist under normal circumstances.  You can avoid this extra overhead by
  51. signing the AGREE.TXT and mailing it to me with $20, at which time 
  52. I will send you the source code without the additional checking.  Alternately, you can
  53. remove the extra code from the screen.spr file...(heheheh).

  56. which I have made it available to FoxPro developers.
