  1. These are the color palettes used by DOOM.
  2.  
  3. Use them to quantise your pictures, before you feed them to DeuTex:
  4.     If you don't quantise the colors, DeuTex will, but it's a bit slow
  5.     at the moment, and you may not like the lack of any dithering
  6.  
  7.  
  8. If you want to make a bitmap (.BMP) for DeuTex, then use:
  9.      PAINT SHOP PRO shareware V2
  10.     1/    load bitmap file
  11.     2/    menu color, select: load palette
  12.             select file doompal.pal
  13.     3/    save bitmap file
  14.  
  15. If you want to make a .PBM (portable bitmap), use ppmquant on your
  16.     picture, with doompal.ppm as the reference for colors.
