  1.      **** Presentation Manager bindings for Ada95 ****

  3. OK, this is the third public release of the OS/2 PM Bindings for
  4. Ada95.  
  5.  
  6. Installing:  Create a directory somewhere and unzip from that dir.
  7. There's a readme.txt file in the pm_v17s.zip file that has descriptions
  8. about the software, compilation instructions, and future version
  9. information.
  10.  
  11. Keep in mind you must have at least version 2.04 of GNAT installed.
  12. (GNAT can be ftp'ed from cs.nyu.edu, under /pub/gnat)

  14. This package assumes you already know how to write PM apps.  If you
  15. don't, visit your nearest bookstore and look for a decent book on PM
  16. or Workplace Shell programming.  (There's some book references in
  17. the readme.txt file in the zip file)

  19. Finally, this package does NOT represent the complete PM bindings, it
  20. has simply been released to the public due to a lot of requests.
  21. Consider it a "work in progress" (like GNAT).  Future releases will
  22. come at a fairly decent pace.  There are a few minor bugs in the demo
  23. programs.  Think of it as a challenge to fix them and pass on the
  24. corrections to the author :-)

  34. OK, what's left?  Oh, remember that the source is released under GPL
  35. (technically, I suppose, LGPL).  Read the GPL stuff from your GNAT
  36. compiler for more info.  Also bear in mind the author is doing this
  37. out of his own pocket, because he thinks Ada95 and OS/2 are a perfect
  38. combination.  Be nice to him. :-)
