  15.   Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to announce that WEBUTIL 1.10 has
  16.   been released! This version offers lots of new featuers and, of course,
  17.   we have fixed all the little bugs in the previous versions. The Windows
  18.   98 version of WebUtil is also finally ready!

  20.   You can download your version of WEBUTIL at any of the registration
  21.   sites and from our ftp and web sites, which you can find at
  22.   ftp.allfix.com and www.allfix.com, respectively.

  28.   WEBUTIL is a quick and easy to use HTTP and FTP robot that can be used
  29.   to upload and download files and websites. For example, it makes it easy
  30.   to synchronize the contents of a directory with an FTP site!
  31.   Configuration of WebUtil is done via a small simple text file.
  32.  
  33.   WEBUTIL is available for OS/2 and Windows 95/98/NT. Both executables
  34.   are included in the release archive.

  36.   You can file request WEBUTIL using the magic name WEBUTIL.

  38.   At the end of this message you will find a list of the registration
  39.   sites.

  41.   Below is a list of the most important changes that have been made to
  42.   WebUtil, since the previous version was released. For a complete log of
  43.   all the changes, please refer to the UPDATE.LOG file.

  46.     WEBUTIL sometimes was not able to determine the files located on an
  47.     FTP site. This usually happend on slow connections. A new verb has
  48.     been added that can be used to specify the time that WEBUTIL should
  49.     wait for data from a LIST command, which is used to determine the
  50.     files on the FTP server.
  51.  
  52.     FTP sites and Web sites can now be specified in the INI file using
  53.     IP addresses as well as by their URL's.
  54.  
  55.     If you specify the name of an alternative INI file on the command
  56.     line, WEBUTIL will assume the extension ".INI" if you leave out that
  57.     extension.

  59.     Sometimes, when trying to download or upload a file from an FTP
  60.     server WEBUTIL would not be able to establish a data channel. In
  61.     order to compensate for that, it will now try setting up a data
  62.     channel 3 times.
  63.  
  64.     The delay that WEBUTIL waits between an unsuccessful login attempt
  65.     and the next attempt is now user definable.
  66.  
  67.     A special debug log option has been added that will record all of
  68.     the data sent and received from an HTTP or FTP server. The actual
  69.     content of a file transferred to or from an FTP server is not
  70.     logged.

  72.     The user interface has been altered so that more information can be
  73.     displayed on the screen, making it easier for you to determine what
  74.     WEBUTIL is doing.

  76.     It is now possible to specify alternative port numbers for HTTP and
  77.     FTP sites.
