- Welcome to CDRecord/2
- -------------------
-
- This port is based on V1.8a8 of cdrecord for *nix.
- It is stable and reliable as far as I have tested it.
- If you want to learn more about cdrecord go to the
- cdrecord homepage at:
-
- http://www.fokus.gmd.de/nthp/employees/schilling/cdrecord.html
-
- There you find a list of supported recorders, too.
-
-
- The hompage of cdrecord/2 you find at:
-
- http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Sector/5785/
-
- There you can get the latest binaries of the OS/2-Version.
- This version only supports SCSI-recorders and I'm not
- willing to write ATAPI-support. But volunteers are welcome.
-
- Licence
- ------
- cdrecord and cdrecord/2 are released under the GPL.
- See the file Copying for further information.
-
- Installation
- ---------
- To use cdrecord/2 you need aspirout.sys the ASPI-Router
- written by D. Dorau. Get it from HOBBES or LEO. It's free!
- Install it according to the manual.
-
- Your config.sys should look like this afterwards:
-
- [...]
- BASEDEV=YOUR_SCSI_ADD.ADD
- BASEDEV=OS2ASPI.DMD /ALL <-- you need this, too
- DEVICE=d:\os2\boot\aspirout.sys
- [...]
-
- Thats all. Happy cd-burning :-).
-
- Usage
- -----
- Refer to the cdrecord dokumentation in directory
- 'doc'. For your convinience I extracted the text from
- the postscript-file into cdrecord.txt. This file
- provides the same information as the original.
- For creating a cd-image you can use mkisofs. There
- is an OS/2 port avaiable.
-
- Bugs
- ----
- Not all *nix-features may work under OS/2.
-
- Compiling
- --------
- If you want to compile cdrecord/2 please contact me at
-
- chris.wohlgemuth@cityweb.de
-
- You have to insert some additional code into the
- cdrecord sources to compile succesful. This code will
- be added to the cdrecord sourcetree in the future.
