  5.  Tide is an external full screen editor for Ezycom, RemoteAccess,
  6. QuickBBS & other BBS's using the MSGTMP style editor interface.
  7.  Please look at TIDE.DOC for features, detailed installation
  8. instructions, etc.

  11. QUICK 2 MINUTE INSTALL:
  12.  
  13.  Copy the contents of this archive to a directory of your choice,
  14. eg. "C:\BBS\TIDE\"
  15.  Load your BBS's configuration program, change the Full Screen Editor
  16. command line to: "[drive]:\[path]\TIDE.EXE -N*N *M" where *N is the
  17. node number & *M enables memory swapping.
  18. eg. For Ezycom, "C:\EZY\TIDE\TIDE.EXE -N*N *M" in Messages>Misc>Ext.Editor
  19.  For Ezycom BBS's, make sure that 'Old Style MSGTMP = NO'
  20.  Exit & save your BBS setup, and test run it.  If you have problems,
  21. read the detailed installation and/or FAQ in TIDE.TXT.

  24. What's New:
  25. - Spell Checking routines. Very fast & efficient! Can be activated
  26.   from the menu, when saving or anytime with Ctrl-E. Includes an
  27.   ignore function to ignore all occurrences of a word in the message,
  28.   and skip function to skip each occurrence.
  29. - Intelligent loading - Tide along with any of it's files can be
  30.   located in it's own directory and Tide will 'look' there for any
  31.   files it needs. This will allow you to easily locate Tide in it's
  32.   own directory if desired, or anywhere you like.
  33. - Improved cursor movement - now wraps around the edges of lines,
  34.   pulls to the left column on short lines, and no longer allows you
  35.   past the bottom of the text buffer.
  36. - Multi-line cut/copy/paste buffer. You can now cut & paste or copy &
  37.   paste up to 20 lines of text, rather than a single line in previous
  38.   versions.
  39. - Improved word wrapping & paragraph handling. No longer wraps into
  40.   quoted text.
  41. - Quote window is auto-magically opened when replying to a message.
  42. - F1 for help now works from remote (with doorway mode)
  43. - New command line parameter /Rxxx to limit the number of rows
  44.   available for editing. eg /R20 will limit messages to 20 lines.
  45. - Fixed bug when using taglines that sometimes lost origin lines.
  46. - Many other minor bug fixes & changes..
