  3. This is a real simple Util that will create a HTML file with everyones
  4. BBS in it to send to your Networks Web Page for on line Viewing.

  41. There is only one:

  43. net2web.exe config.cfg

  45. You can have as many Config files as you want, and you can use this to make
  46. multiple list's which I will explain later.
  47. here is a Sample Config file:

  49. Linear Network    ---> Name of the Nodelist
  50. linlist           ---> File Name Of the Nodelist
  51. linnode.htm       ---> Name of the Output file

  56. unless you put in the Path File name
  57. net2web will open up the first file that it finds with out the last 3
  58. numbers. so if you name your config file NODELIST.CFG and you are having
  59. it look for NODELIST.003 it will open up your CFG file and not work.

  61. You will need to modify or create your own Header.txt and Footer.txt.
  62. These are exactally as they sound. The Header goes on top of the HTML
  63. and the Footer goes at the Bottom. I have tested this program from
  64. within a table creating another table ect, so you are free to have
  65. anything that you want to have in the Header and footer. What I recomend
  66. is creating a web page and just rememberign where you want your nodelist
  67. and cut and Paste to create your Header and Footer.

  69. What it Does?

  72. It takes the Nodelist and reads it in line for line. If it finds an "A;"
  73. then it will center that line in the table, and assume that it is the
  74. nodelist information. then it will look for Zones Hubs and Nodes, adding
  75. them in as it goes.

  77. Errors that I know of?

  80. There are way too meny Nodelists floating around on the internet, so I
  81. could not test it on all of them. I did test it on Linear Network
  82. (Included in this Archive), Flynet, and Fidonet. They all worked just
  83. fine, although do not try to load the Fido Not HTML as it will take a
  84. WHILE to load a 2.5 Meg Table of HTML. (I did not wait and honestly do
  85. not know if it works or not)

  87. If you have a Sloppy Nodelist then it will not look right. With Sloppy I
  88. mean if you have Hub 2110 then after that you have Hub 2000 then this is
  89. the way it would be listed. I really recomend useing MAKENL for the
  90. creation of your Nodelist. (Although I looked for the Author of Makenl
  91. to give him Credit I could not find a Copy of it at the writing of this
  92. Doc)

  94. Net2web does not COMPILE your nodelist it just reads it. That is it.

  99. When I get the nodelist in for Linear Network, I compile it just liek
  100. normal, then I run NET2WEB and let it create linnode.htm. Then I use
  101. FNOS, written by Marc Blakely from the Looking Glass, Upload it to the
  102. Linear Net's Home Page. Since I always upload the same file then it is
  103. just done once a week, and when you go to the web page then you see the
  104. new Nodelist.

  108. tested this useing filedog as well as wsftp command line setup. So any
  109. AUTO ftp should work.

  168. This is another one of my Save Time Utils, although I should have read
  169. the doc's that came with InterMail as it does the same thing that this
  170. does, although this is easier to understand. Poll will write a message
  171. to as many node numbers that you would like at one time, Thus making your
  172. system Poll them to get your mail.

  185. This is another one of my Save Time Utils, although I wrote it for somehting
  186. else I liked the idea for a BBS, and since I could not find one to do it for
  187. me I wrote one out myself. Random will take a group of ANSIs and rename one
  188. to AD.ANS from there you can copy it into your Text Files Directory and
  189. your Users will see a different one everytime they Log on.

  195. This Utility will keep a record of all your Door Usage by looking at your log
  196. files for the term ".BAT". Once it finds that set of letters, it will start a
  197. data base of how many times it was run. Has total SysOp Control, SysOp Can
  198. edit the Door Data File so that it will display the true Door Name (up to 20
  199. characters) and if you want that Door in the top 10 List. Also runs as
  200. a Door to let your users see the Top 10 Doors, the last 10 runs, and the
  201. top 10 Day's that Doors were used. As well, it will make a Text file every
  202. time it runs that is suitable for posting in a Echo (There is High Ascii
  203. in the Text File though).
