  8.    Nodeview facilitates the search of the Fidonet-standard nodelist for a
  9.    variety of criteria, enabling you to quickly and easily find other BBS
  10.    systems in the Fidonet network or any other compatibile Nodelist.

  12. {15}■{11} General Operation:
  13. {8}────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  14.    Select an option from the main menu (the options are described in more
  15.    detail below). Enter the parameter that you want to search for; in the
  16.    case of text searches, it is not necessary to enter the entire text.
  17.    A fragment of a name or phrase is all that is required.

  19.    At any time during the search routine, you can stop the scanning by
  20.    pressing any key or Q.

  27.    This function will scan the entire Fidonet nodelist, attempting to
  28.    match the BBS name in the nodelist to the BBS name (or fragment) you
  29.    request.

  31.  {14}■{11} Search nodelist by sysop name:

  33.    This function will scan the entire Fidonet nodelist, attempting to
  34.    match the sysop's name in the nodelist to the sysop name (or fragment)
  35.    you request.

  37.  {14}■{11} Search nodelist for Hardware/Software Support BBS's:

  39.    This function will scan the entire nodelist, attempting to find any
  40.    BBS's that have "Support" listed in their entry.

  42.  {14}■{11} Search nodelist by city:

  44.    This function will scan the entire Fidonet nodelist, attempting to
  45.    match the city in the nodelist to the city name (or fragment) you
  46.    request.

  50.    This function will scan the entire Fidonet nodelist, attempting to
  51.    match any field in the nodelist entry to the text fragment you request.

  53.  {14}■{11} Toggle to long/short node display mode:

  55.    Two modes of display are available, long and short. The default is
  56.    short, which displays the address, BBS name, sysop name, phone number
  57.    and node status. The long format adds a second line which includes the
  58.    city and modem information, but is slightly slower scanning the
  59.    nodelist. Note that the display mode has no effect on the scan
  60.    parameters.
