  5. IP - Scanner is a signaling program which allows internet users to locate each other across the net.  
  6.  
  7. Users with dial-up connections often have trouble finding each other because of dynamic IP addressing.
  8. This makes it difucult to see if someone is on the net or not.  It also makes it nearly impossible to use many 
  9. net utilities or games over the net without a telephone call to find out thier IP address.

  11. IP - Scanner solves these problems.  It will scan IP address blocks for others who are running the program 
  12. and display thier name, IP address, and a brief message.

  14. Once another user is located messages may be sent and chat sessions initiated.
  15.  
  16. Because this program has proven very usefull even while under construction,  I am releasing this version 
  17. even though some part may be a bit rough.  Upgrades will be made available as they are completed.

  19. This is a shareware version and is limited to only three scan ranges and will time out November 1, 1996.
  20. The registered version does not expire and allows an unlimited number of ranges to scan.
