  1. DOS Applications Manager 1.00 for Windows 95

  4. This little application allows you to store the shorcuts to
  5. DOS apps in a hidden Directory to prevent you or users
  6. to open more than 1 DOS app concurrently.
  7.  
  8. This could help to prevent to use too many file handles, to
  9. open twice the same app, etc.
  10.  
  11. This application is not freeware, it is shareware. It is 
  12. released as is and E.B.S. cannot be hold for responsible for
  13. any problem. Test it, distribute it, but if you find it usefull
  14. and continue to work with it, we ask you to pay a little fee so
  15. we can continue development of more sharewares in the future.

  29. Installation
  30. ------------
  31. This program comes with a standard setup program. Run it and
  32. eventually place the icon in your startup group.
  33.  
  34. Before running you must : 
  35.  
  36.     - Below your windows directory create a folder
  37.       and name it RunAlone
  38.       ex: c:\windows\RunAlone
  39.  
  40.     - Move the shortcuts you want to see appear in
  41.       the menu to it
  42.  
  43. Every time the program starts, it will read in the shortcuts 
  44. in the directory.
  45.  
  46. If you find it necessary, you can make the RunAlone a hidden
  47. folder to prevent users to mess it up.
  48.  
  49. Don't forget to remove the shorcuts from the desktop, otherwise
  50. the Dos Applications Manager is useless.
  51.  
  52. If you use it for security matters, you can prevent users to have
  53. access to the 'execute' command and many other settings with the
  54. policy editor.

  56. Let the users launch their Dos Apps from this menu and it will
  57. prevent to run twice the same app or another on top of one.
