  7.  Many vendors claim to have fast VGA cards, but how do you REALLY know
  8.  if they are telling you the TRUTH without buying it, taking it home,
  9.  installing it in your system, and testing it? By running VGASPEED on a
  10.  system installed with the VGA card you are interested in, you can determine
  11.  its frame rate BEFORE buying it; and then compare it with the frame rate
  12.  of other VGA cards. In this way you can make an INTELLIGENT decision on
  13.  which VGA you wish to purchase!
  14.  
  15.  When VGASPEED begins it will flash the screen, show multiple, moving
  16.  colors for about half a minute, and then show the results of its tests.
  17.  
  18.  NOTE: You must have have a VGA compatible card with at least 128K of memory
  19.        on it, plus about 200K of FREE system RAM in order to run VGASPEED.

  21.  NOTE: VGASPEED should be run from a DOS Prompt (in contrast to 'launching'
  22.        from Windows) for accurate results. i.e. DON'T RUN VGASPEED FROM

  29.  CPU TYPE  = 80386 Processor
  30.  CPU SPEED = 33 Mhz

  32.  VGA BUS TYPE =  16-bit
  33.  VGA    SPEED = .0794285 seconds/frame
  34.               =  12.58   frames/second

  36.  CPU TYPE      is the micro-processor in your computer.
  37.                Possibilities are 8086, 80286, 80386, 80486+.

  39.  CPU SPEED     is a VERY rough estimate of the EFFECTIVE clock rate for
  40.                your computer system. Higher is faster.

  42.  VGA BUS TYPE  is actually a coding efficiency indicator. For example,
  43.                a result of 16-bit corresponds to maximum VGA speed
  44.                when WORDS are mapped from RAM to VGA RAM, in contrast
  45.                to BYTES (8-bit) or DOUBLE WORDS (32-bit).

  47. VGA SPEED     is how fast it takes to update the entire screen from RAM
  48.                An average VGA Board runs at about 10 - 12 frames/second.
