  35. WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAM DO?
  36. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  37. Initor enables you to edit OS2 "INI" files. You are able to add, deleted 
  38. and edit applications, keys and key data. Further more you are able to
  39. save and read data from the current INI file to and from  another INI file.
  40. You can also save applications, keys and data to ASCII readable HEX files
  41. such that one compare them with other ini files before and after changes.
  42. DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!!
  43. I take no responsibilty if you bugger up your INI files and I have NOT
  44. included "safety keys" into the application. 
  45. BUT: therefore its very fast and efficient!
  46. I have written this program because the LOTUS INI file editor drove me nuts!
  47. You cannot size it to a different window size, it comes up with
  48. this silly window at startup and does not remember the last directory were
  49. you edited a file. So I used the basic structure of Real World Programmings
  50. INI file editor and changed a few things and bugs to make INITOR.

  53. UNZIPPING AND LOCATION OF FILES:

  55. Since you are reading this file you must have unzipped the archive.
  56. All you need to do now is to copy the files:
  57.     initor.exe
  58.     initor.hlp
  59.     initor.ini
  60. into the same directory. 
  61. You might want to copy the files into a directory of you PATH statement.

  64. HOW DOES IT WORK?
  65. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  66. Simply start INITOR from the command line or have an icon pointing to this
  67. program somewhere on the desktop. Refer to the OS2 help files how to make
  68. a program icon.

  70. You can drop an icon (or specify a filename on the command line) and initor
  71. starts up with that INI file opened. You can associate *.ini with initor
  72. and double click on the INI file icon and INITOR will start up with the
  73. file opend. (see OS/2 reference about association and/or dropping).

  75. Initor starts with the "OS2.INI" (USERINI) file opened when no filename
  76. is specified on the command line or dropped onto INITOR icon.

  106. Well, easy. I use a lot of the GNU stuff:
  107.   GTAK, GTAR, emacs, gcc, gnu utils, emtex, ghostview and many many more.
  108. I have used a lot of free stuff as well.
  109. So why shouldn't I make some free programs available?
