  30. INSTALLATION:
  31.  
  32. 1. Copy the OS2WWWxx.ZIP file into a directory named "\PowerWeb" and
  33.    change your current directory to "\PowerWeb".
  34.  
  35. 2. Unzip using either pkunzip or unzip as follows:
  36.  
  37.    unzip os2www.zip
  38.    pkunzip -d os2www.zip
  39.  
  40.    Note: It is important to use the command line switches shown above to
  41.    create the sub-directories below "\PowerWeb".
  42.  
  43. 3. Run install, according to your IP ADDRESS:
  44.  
  45.    (note: if you are running the 4OS2 command shell, please exit it first)
  46.  
  47. a. If you are using a dynamic IP address, then ensure that your
  48.    HOSTS file in your \mptn\etc or \tcpip\etc directory contains the
  49.    following line:
  50.  
  51.       127.0.0.1 localhost
  52.  
  53.    and then run
  54.  
  55.       INSTALL -local
  56.  
  57.    and follow its instructions carefully, and fill in all forms completely.
  58.  
  59. b. If you are using a permanent IP address, then run
  60.  
  61.       INSTALL
  62.  
  63.    and follow its instructions carefully, and fill in all forms completely.

  65. 4. Do not delete the OS2WWWxx.ZIP file after a successful installation,
  66.    it has been moved to a system directory, in case you need to re-install.
  67.  
  68. 5. If you experience problems, such as reported TCP/IP configuration
  69.    problems, please load the file tcpipos2.htm into your browser and
  70.    follow its suggestions.

  115.    in your server root directory.

  117. 5. If you subsequently need to revert to an old version, there is a menu
  118.    option on the main "/admin" HTML page to choose which version to run.

  120.    Alternatively, you can modify the "version" file located in the
  121.    server root directory which contains the name of the version to launch.

  216. The entire PowerWeb configuration is kept in the sub-directory "conf"
  217. underneath the server root directory. Be sure to backup sub-directories
  218. of "conf" to include your server certificates and encrypted private keys.
