-
- 2.0 Installation
-
- Modem Master can be run from any directory from C drive. Just copy all
- files from this archive into a directory on C drive.
-
-
- 3.0 Setup
-
- Modem master can be run with several command lines. If run without a
- command line, It will list the options that you must use.
-
- Below is a list of the options and their function.
-
- MODMASTR SETUP
-
- This is the first option that you must use. It will bring up a
- menu. You will notice in the upper left corner there is a status
- box. This is what the current settings are, and change as you
- change the options.
-
- For the INIT string 1. You MUST start all init strings with the
- command AT. If you want a delay between AT and the command lines,
- please use the ~ function. Note: If you are using a 28.8 modem,
- you need to use two of the ~ after the AT command. Each Init line
- can be up to 40 characters long.
-
- If you are not using INIT strings 2 and 3, They must be totally
- blank, or just have the AT command.
-
- The Next function is the Modem Speed. It must be entered as
- follows:
- 2400
- 4800
- 9600
- 14400
- 19200
- etc.
-
- Next, is the Port status. If you wish to lock you port, you must
- have this entered as Locked AND the modem speed has to be your
- locked baud rate. Failure to do this may cause problems with the
- Initilization of the modem.
-
- Next is the com Port. You MUST enter this as on of the following:
-
- COM1
- COM2
- COM3
- COM4
-
- At the present time, I only support com 1 thur 4. Other ports will
- be supported in the future. Please see section 5 for Future plans.
-
- Next, is save data. When you save date, The program will create
- a file called MODMASTR.DAT in the path that you are running the
- program from. This file MUST stay in the same directory which
- Modem Master is being ran from.
-
- NOTE: The following functions are NOT accessable until Registered:
- INIT String 2
- INIT String 3
- Locked Port
-
- These Features will be unlocked when registered.
-
-
- MODMASTR INIT
-
- This command line is used to initilize the modem. This command
- causes Modem Master to read the MODMASTR.DAT and use the information
- there to initilize the modem. This is the command that is to be
- placed in the autoexec.bat to cause the modem to be initilized upon
- bootup.
-
- MODMASTR
-
- This command will list the options that are available to use.
-
-
