  17.    - Processor - MUST be 386SX or better.  Recommended minimums:
  18.          Video receive only: 386SX 
  19.          Video send & receive: 386DX 
  20.          Video receive w/Audio: 486SX 
  21.          Video send & receive w/Audio: 486DX 
  22.    - Windows 3.1 or higher running in Enhanced Mode. 
  23.    - A Windows Sockets compliant TCP/IP stack, known as Winsock. 
  24.    - A 256 color (8 bit) video driver at any resolution 
  25.        (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, or higher).  
  26.  
  27. To send and receive video you'll also need:

  29.    - Video capture board that supports Microsoft Video For Windows.
  30.    - A video camera to plug into the video capture board.
  31.    - Or, just a QuickCam parallel port camera.

  45. Windows '95 - Like most 3.1 applications, CU-SeeMe will work with Win '95,
  46. although the free Cornell version is not 32-bit.  Only a few users have 
  47. reported problems with Windows '95.  We expect to have a 32-bit version
  48. in the summer of 1996.

  50. Windows 3.1 - Yes.

  52. Windows for Workgroups 3.11 - Yes.

  54. Windows NT - We've made no effort to make CU-SeeMe work with NT and have
  55. no plans to do so in the near future.  A few users have managed to make

  387.   received the following report about an IMPORTANT configuration detail
  388.   required for CU-SeeMe.  In the NET.CFG file you can specify the number
  389.   of sockets for TCP and UDP.  You must change this number to 30 or less
  390.   in order for CU-SeeMe to work:

  399. Sound Cards:

  401. The 'Internal Speaker Driver' will NOT work.  Also, it NEVER will in the 
  402. future for technical reasons.
  403.  
  404. As far as I know, any sound card system will work with CU-SeeMe.  We only
  405. use the low lever services and don't require anything special of the system.
  406. We use 8 kHz 8-bit format.
  407.  
  408. However, full duplex audio is desireable so you can speak and listen
  409. simultaneously.  The following cards are full duplex (according to reports) 
  410. and have been reported to work with CU-SeeMe:
