  4. The HyperACCESS Conversion Program is provided with HyperACCESS for OS/2 to 
  5. assist users in upgrading from previous versions of HyperACCESS and Procomm. 
  6. With the HyperACCESS Conversion Program, you can easily upgrade from the 
  7. following programs:

  9.      HyperAccess Lite for OS/2 
  10.  
  11.      HyperACCESS for Windows 
  12.  
  13.      HyperACCESS/5 for DOS and OS/2 
  14.  
  15.      Procomm Plus for Windows

  23.  To use this conversion program, start it from the HyperACCESS Conversion 
  24.  Program icon in the HyperACCESS for OS/2 folder. Then select from the File 
  25.  menu the name of the program from which you are upgrading. Follow the 
  26.  instructions you see to convert files from the other program. Online help is 
  27.  also available to assist you.

  37. To convert system settings from HyperACCESS/5, you first have to export 
  38. HyperACCESS/5 system settings.

  40. If you have already exported HyperACCESS/5 system settings as a file, enter the 
  41. exported file name in the Convert from HA/5 window. If you need help locating 
  42. the file, select the Browse button. The exported file has an EXP extension.

  44. If you have not already exported HyperACCESS/5 system settings as a file, 
  45. follow these steps:

  47.    1. Exit this HyperACCESS Conversion Program for now.

  49.    2. Follow the instructions in the HyperACCESS/5 manual to export system 
  50.       settings in a file.

  52.    3. Restart this HyperACCESS Conversion Program.

  54.    4. Select Convert from HyperACCESS/5 and follow the instructions.

  74.       PCPEXP.WAS OR PCP2EXP.WAS (for versions 1.x or 2.x, respectively).

  111. a directory file are necessary for the conversion.

  113. Enter the path, directory, and filename of the Procomm parameter file. If you 
  114. need help locating the file, select the Browse button. The file has a PRM 
  115. extension.

  117. Then enter the path, directory, and filename of the Procomm dialing directory 
  118. file. If you need help locating the file, select the Browse button. The file 
  119. has a DIR extension.

  233. Although none of HyperACCESS/5's files are directly compatible, you can convert 
  234. its System List entries into HyperACCESS for OS/2 phonebook entries. Follow 
  235. these steps:

  237.    1. Export the systems from HyperACCESS/5 as described in its manual.

  239.    2. Start the HyperACCESS Conversion Program in the HyperACCESS for OS/2 
  240.       folder.

  258. You can directly import HyperACCESS for Windows phonebook entries into 
  259. HyperACCESS for OS/2. Follow these steps:

  261.    1. Start the HyperACCESS Conversion Program in the HyperACCESS for OS/2 
  262.       folder.

  264.    2. Select File/Convert from HyperACCESS for Windows.... 
  265.  
  266.    3. In the window titled Select HyperACCESS for Windows files, find the HAWIN 
  267.       directory and then select the files you want to import (they have HAS 
  268.       extensions).

  270.    4. When you have selected the files to import, select OK. An information 
  271.       message is displayed telling you the files have been converted.

  273.    5. Close the HyperACCESS Conversion Program.

  275.    6. Start HyperACCESS for OS/2.

  277.    7. Select the phonebook panel File/Import... menu choice.

  289. full version of HyperACCESS. Follow these steps:

  291.    1. Start the HyperACCESS Conversion Program in the HyperACCESS for OS/2 
  292.       folder.

  294.    2. Select File/Convert from HyperACCESS Lite. 
  295.  
  296.    3. In the window titled Select HyperACCESS Lite Files, find the HALITE 
  297.       directory and then select the files you want to import (they have HAL 
  298.       extensions).

  300.    4. When you have selected the files to import, select OK. An information 
  301.       message is displayed telling you the files have been converted.

  321. phonebook entries. Then use the File/Import... menu choice on the HyperACCESS 
  322. for OS/2 phonebook panel to assign each imported .HAO file to a phonebook entry 
  323. with an associated icon and host entry name.
