  5. This version was produced for PCPlus Magazine on 20/6/95.  Due
  6. to publshing delays it will not appear till the Sept issue.

  8. Please note that Channel 4 are now regularly changing the number
  9. of sub-pages on pages 532 and 533.  If you are using this with
  10. a teletext card you may have to alter the SHARES.SEQ file.
  11.  
  12. Use the menu option Teletext|Edit Sequence File
  13. and change the lines which read
  14. 4,532,44,Adjust
  15. 4,533,45,Adjust
  16. change the numbers 44 and 45 to the actual number of subpages
  17. on pages 532 and 533 respectively.  (Currently the adjust keyword
  18. is not working under all circumstances)

  20. Installation
  21. ============
  22. To install Marker Breaker put the disk in the floppy drive
  23. type:
  24.  
  25. a:\setup (if in drive a:)
  26.  
  27. whilst running Windows in the Program Manager File|Run menu option.
  28.  
  29. Once installed Market Breaker will take up about 4.5Mbytes, 
  30. but to run the installation you must have at least 8Mbytes 
  31. free disk space whilst running Windows.  If you do not have 
  32. 8Mbytes of disk space then the installation program will give 
  33. an error and terminate the installation.
  34.  
  35. Market Breaker will install the following files on your hard
  36. disk:

  38. SLDATA.DAT      a data file containing share data
  39. ALARM.DAT    further data file
  40. MB2000.EXE      the shares progam
  41. SHARES.HLP      the full user guide
  42. AUTO.ICO        the autoload icon
  43. MB2000.INI      your registration details
  44. LOGFILE.OUT     a record of your installation (look at this
  45.         if the installation fails, you can delete it if
  46.         the installation succeeds).
  47. BWCC.DLL        this is a Borland DLL used by dialogs
  48. TLTXTLIB.DLL    this is the Windows driver for the Microtext card
  49. HCF.DAT         this is the TeleText font used by the Teletext window
  50. TELECHx.DEM     there are 5 files where x is number 1 to 5 containing
  51.         demonstration Teletext screens,  Channel 5 is CNN 
  52.         Text Reuters service.
  53. SHARES.SEQ    Commands for loading teletext pages
  54. INDICES.PAG    Single Teletext page command file for Market Indices
  55. CONFIG.EXE    For use with the Teletext Adapter if you want to do manual or
  56.         automatic tuning or if you have an external adapter attached to a COM port.
  57. MTUNEDLL.DLL a Microtext program to do tuning
  58. TUNING_D.ATA a data file used by the above DLL.

  60. An additional file TELETEXW.INF will be created by the Market Breaker or Configuration program.

  63. The installation also creates a Market Breaker Program Manager
  64. group containing the following icons:

  67. Marker Breaker Auto Load        Double click this to run the automatic
  68.                 share loading (see manual)
  69. Teletext Adapter Configuration  Allows you to manual tune or configure for
  70.                 an external teletext adapter.

  74. For owners of the Purchased Market Breaker

  76. Market Breaker is pre-registered with your name and address.
  77. Each program has a unique identification code.  Do not give
  78. program to anyone else.  If will be possible to find out 
  79. the source of illegal copying of the program.

  84. Please Note
  85. ===========
  86. The tuning information for the card is contained in either a file
  87. called TELETEXT.INF or TELETEXW.INF depending on the software you bought
  88. with your Microtext Teletext Card.  The Microtext DOS software or the Teletext Card 
  89. Configuration program must must be run before you run Market Breaker so that the 
  90. Teletext Card can store the tuning data.
