This is a shareware version of this anti-virus utility. This installation includes versions 2.2.2 for DOS and Windows, and the memory-resident scanner VShield.
You are entitled to evaluate the McAfee VirusScan software on a royalty free basis for a certain period. See the REGISTER.TXT and LICENSE.TXT files for more details.
IMPORTANT NOTE
In order to ensure proper protection against viruses you need to update your anti-virus software regularly, as new viruses appear all the time.
Before using the programs it's advisable to read the manual first to ensure that you carry out all the necessary procedures needed for virus detection and removal. This can be accessed in Windows Write format from the SuperCD menu system, and is included as VIRUSCAN.TXT when the files are installed to your PC.
To run VShield automatically when you start your computer you will need to make changes to your AUTOEXEC.BAT. The manual has full details.
INSTALLATION
To install the McAfee VirusScan software, press [Continue] below, then choose a destination. The default is C:\PCPLUS\MCAFEE. The separate programs will be installed in DOS, WIN, and VSHIELD sub-directories below this. Select the custom option if you only want to install some of these programs.
Program icons can be set up in the Program manager group of your choice for McAfee VirusScan for Windows. The default is PC Plus SuperCD.
