  1. This is the Linux Kernel Hackers' Guide, Alpha version 0.6.
  2. It may be of use to device driver writers and those writing extensions
  3. to the proc filesystem, and possibly to others as well.  Please send
  4. me (johnsonm@nigel.vnet.net) all comments, as noted on the cover page.

  6. Please note that this is the last release of the monolithic
  7. KHG.  It is being transformed into a collection of papers.
  8. If you are interested in participating, please send me email
  9. and tell me what you are interested in.

  11. Improvements over version 0.5 include more coverage of writing
  12. device drivers, the beginings of a tour of the kernel, and
  13. many typos fixed.  There are probably other improvements that
  14. I have forgotten.
