  1. Some brief notes regarding NoMouse Version 4 Demo...
  2.  
  3. This is a 10 minute demonstration version of NoMouse Version 4. 
  4. This demo has all the features of NoMouse Version 4.
  5.  
  6. Installation
  7. To Install NoMouse from the Program Manager select the 'File' 
  8. menu and then the 'Run' menu item. Insert the NoMouse diskette 
  9. in drive A: and enter A:\SETUP in the RUN dialog box.

  11. NoMouse ON/OFF toggle switch has been added
  12. This version of NoMouse includes a toggle so users can easily use
  13. the cursor keys to move the mouse pointer or the I-beam in 
  14. Windows applications. The NoMouse cursor keys can be configured 
  15. so that a single key will toggle the cursor keys between moving 
  16. the mouse pointer or the I-beam cursor in applications.

  18. This is done by setting the NoMouse ON/OFF hotkey to a single 
  19. key, the default is the <END> key. Pressing the NoMouse ON/OFF 
  20. hotkey key twice rapidly (double-clicking) will turn the mouse 
  21. functions on, pressing the NoMouse ON/OFF hotkey key once will 
  22. turn OFF the mouse key functions and allow normal cursor movement
  23. in a Windows application. Holding down the NoMouse ON/OFF hotkey 
  24. key and then pressing a cursor key will move the mouse pointer.

  26. IMPORTANT
  27. To configure NoMouse, call up the NoMouse Configuration dialog 
  28. box by pressing <CTRL>+<ALT>+<Q>.

  30. Pressing the NoMouse ON/OFF hotkey, the default is the <END> 
  31. key, twice rapidly (double-clicking) will turn the mouse 
  32. functions on, pressing the NoMouse ON/OFF hotkey, the <END> key, 
  33. once will turn OFF the mouse key functions and allow normal 
  34. cursor movement in a Windows application, such as WORD or EXCEL. 
  35. Holding down the NoMouse ON/OFF hotkey, the <END> key, and then 
  36. pressing a cursor key will move the mouse pointer. Experiment 
  37. with this, it will take some practice.

  39. Speed Improvement
  40. The speed of the mouse pointer movement has been greatly improved
  41. in NoMouse Version 4. THE SPEED CAN BE ADJUSTED IN THE 
  42. NOMOUSE CONFIGURATION DIALOG BOX. This will probably be necessary 
  43. on most computers. Keyboard repeat rates and faster 
  44. microprocessors may require a bit of adjustment to achieve the 
  45. degree of control required. Press <CTRL>+<ALT>+<Q> to call up the 
  46. NoMouse Configuration dialog box.

  48. Set the 'Initial Tracking Speed" to a lower level if necessary, 
  49. depending on the speed of your computer.

  51. Fast-Navigate
  52. The increased speed of NoMouse has made the Fast-Navigate option of 
  53. NoMouse Version 3 obsolete, so it has been removed. 
  54. Fast-Navigate has been removed to reduce the program size.

  56. URHere
  57. The coordinate window of NoMouse Version 3 has been removed from 
  58. NoMouse Version 4 to make the program smaller. A separate 
  59. utility (URHERE.EXE) has been added for those users who need the 
  60. coordinate window. The NoMouse Version 4 Ten Minute Demo does not 
  61. include the URHere program.
