  1. Look@Me is a small application that allows you to observe the
  2. desktop of another Look@Me or Timbuktu Pro user.
  3.  
  4. This Beta version of Look@Me will expire on the date
  5. displayed at the bottom of the "About Look@Me" dialog box.

  8. ** Using Look@Me **
  9.  
  10. To observe another Look@Me or Timbuktu Pro user:
  11.  
  12. 1. Enter the remote user's IP address in the IP field.
  13.  
  14. 2. Click Observe.
  15.  
  16.    The IP address you enter is automatically saved and added to the
  17.    drop-down list. The list remembers the four most recent addresses.
  18.  
  19.    * If you are logging on to a Timbuktu Pro-equipped computer, you may be
  20.      asked for a name and a password.
  21.  
  22.    An observation window with the name of the remote computer (or "host")
  23.    opens. Inside this window you will see the desktop of the selected
  24.    computer.

  27. To be observed by another Look@Me or Timbuktu Pro user:

  29. 1. Start Look@Me.
  30.  
  31. 2. Click the window curtains (or select 'Allow others to see' from the
  32.    Settings menu).
  33.  
  34.    The curtains will slide back, revealing a little face.
  35.  
  36.    When another user decides to look at your desktop, an alert box will
  37.    pop up to tell you that you have a guest. If you don't want to allow
  38.    that user to observe your desktop, you can disconnect the observer by
  39.    clicking your alert box's Disconnect button.

  42. To change Look@Me's observation behavior:

  44. *  Select 'Preferences' from the Settings menu. The Preferences dialog box
  45.    appears.
  46.  
  47.    * You can edit your computer name (the name seen by the remote user)
  48.      in the User Name field.
  49.  
  50.    * You can allow the observer to see your Wallpaper patterns by turning
  51.      on 'Display Wallpaper.' Note: If 'Display Wallpaper' is activated,
  52.      the observation speed will slow down.

  54.    * You can disable Look@Me's AutoScroll feature. When AutoScrolling is
  55.      off, you can manually use the scroll bar to shift your view of the
  56.      remote computer's desktop. Note: You can also turn AutoScrolling on
  57.      and off by selecting 'AutoScroll' from the menu available in the
  58.      upper left-hand corner of an open Observe window.
